Turn right after you turn out of the tunnel. Tons of maps and information on the area. Employee was very helpful and knowledgeable.
If you are not sure how to spend your time In Windsor, or surrounding area, then you must stop here. Free maps and brochures to help you learn everything you can about this area and the people who live here. Friendly staff that went out of their way to learn what things we enjoyed and then pointed out all the local options.
The information for the Ontario Travel Information Center in Windsor at the end of the tunnel is now correct! Everyone says it is a great visitors center and it is nicknamed the "Windsor Visitors Centre." Happy traveling!
The Ontario Travel Information Bureau (not the Windsor Visitor's Centre) is being discussed here. There is no actual Windsor Visitor's Centre. The website listed on this listing is not even for Windsor Ontario. It is for Windsor California!But....the Bureau is an excellent source of information, directions and help for all things Windsor and Ontario. If coming to Windsor, think about using the tunnel and when you exit the tunnel, turn right and it is located on the first corner (Goyeau and Park).Welcome!
Always a friendly place. Located right next to "tunnel " exit.Parking, free wifi and free maps and info.Casino in view. Enter Ontario and they have info on every inch of it.Last minute souveniers to buy.
Maps, travel brochures, discount coupons and friendly, helpful staff. Parking lot has plenty of spaces. Located close to the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Plaza in downtown Windsor.
You basically run into the center right after you pop out from the tunnel, so it's hard to miss. The staff is very helpful. We got all our questions answered and all our expectations were exceeded. A very good visitor center by any standards.
Well maintained washroom facilities. Plenty of parking (downtown). The personnel are very obliging and pleasant to deal with. As a center they have plenty of literature on the city and province. A must to stop in for visitors to Ontario.
The visitor center provides helpful information for the traveler looking for things to do in the city. People were helpful and friendly and there is a beautiful walk way along the river front looking over at Detroit, MI.
I took the Detroit-Windsor tunnel to the Windsor Visitors Center and loved how close the visitors center was once I entered Canada. I took this day trip on a whim when I friend was in town visiting and we decided to spend a day in Windsor. The visitors center helped us plan our day, gave us directions, points of interest and even suggestions on places to eat! We left with our highlighted map of the city in hand and ready sightsee for the day!
