The food is always great (home cooked style), the service is friendly & attentive. A comfortable neighborhood establishment with friendly patrons. It's been my favorite bar for about 14 years.

Take a walk aroung this suburb and enjoy some very old period houses. You'll also come across plaques that explain some history.

Olde Walkerville Neighborhood is a nice area of Windsor. There are a few attractions and a lot of restaurants in the area. So you should be able to fine something that gets you interested or feed. I would make a trip here and walk around the area, in the spring and summer, but just avoid it in the cold because you're exposed to the elements. Enjoy!

Art in the Park happens here very June. Myself and 3-4 of my friends rarely miss it. We have been attending for more than 30 years and our group loves to get together to catch up with each other.

This neighborhood is an up and coming jewel. Several very good restaurants withing a couple of blocks. Nice boutique shopping and farmer's market. Lovely small neighborhood feel.

I love the variety of independent shops--from Biblioasis Purveyors of Fine and Used Books to yoga studios, from an old-fashioned feeling green grocer's to O'Maggio's Pub, from Vito's Italian restaurant to Willistead Manor and the surrounding gorgeous brick homes established during the heyday of the company town centred on Walker Brewery.

This great neighborhood is a perfect tree lined place to walk. There is a lovely park with the Albert Kahn - Willistead home (home of Canadian Club founder Hiram Walker) nestled in the middle of a beautiful, block wide/long park.

Simple menu.. good portions, tasty food. A fun place to go hang out for a bit. Small, local atmosphere, a real hang out kind'a place.

Lots of shops and food options. Enjoy a stroll on the newly revamped street. Business always welcoming visitors

the walk about tour is an amazing look at some of the best Georgian style architect in Canada, whole parks surrounding small mansions for the Canadian Club whiskey giants ,restaurants for all folks, the best one for toad is the united grill at 20 university, heaps of food, place looks the same as it did in 1980 but food is wow (not open weekends

Willstead manor and the park are a must visit. Be sure to checkout the brewery and get a tour of Canadian Club.

The Olde Walkerville area has been involved in recent renovations that will not only 'buff' up the well known Windsor area when completed but the renos will certainly offer visitors a fresh look at this beautiful historic neighborhood. With large houses, wide streets and an abundance of parks and greenery, it is a great area for walking tours. It is the original site of the historic Hiram Walkers Distillery (now owned and operated by Wiser's) and splattered about the comfortable area are a number of unique dining establishments, coffee houses, bars and very comfortable and inexpensive B and B's.The neighbourhood is characterized by large houses, wide streets and abundant greenery. The Old Walkerville Theatre just recently reopened and is a 1920s art-deco design. It has a large stage, ornate fixtures and balconies, and depicts the life style of that era.

You can take yourself on a walking tour of this neighborhood but I strongly recommend the economical Rum Runners Tour if it is operating when you are in town, This area grew up more than 100 years ago around the Hiram Walker Distillery and there was fancy housing for the managers and now gentrified row housing for the workers. You will learn of the connections to Windsor that were highlighted in HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Among the mansions is the house where Paul Martin Sr. lived, probably Canada's most famous politician who never became Prime Minister. A real highlight is Willistead Manor, built by one of Hiram Walker's sons. (Hiram walker himself was too frugal for such a mansion and live most of his life over the distillery) When you're finished your tour stop by the modern Walkerville Brewery and enjoy a craft beer.

This neighbor hood has some spectacular old homes and mansions. You can drive through yourself or get on the rum runners tour and have someone explain the different homes and their former owners. The highlight is Willistead Manor.

Great area to drink, eat, and party! Currently, construction for a couple of months for road improvements are taking place. Although, this is not affecting business closures. Everything is open and ready for your business!!!
