nottawasaga island lighthouse

Great day trip on my cousins boat. Quick walk round the island and Lighthouse but not for those who don't like birds as it is a breeding ground for gulls and ganets. Crystal clear water is great for snorkelling as the granite steps down about 6 inches every ten feet down to maybe 30 foot. Like swimming in a fish tank!

The lighthouse is slowly deteriorating and falling apart - somebody needs to start some help to preserve this nice landmark on the bird island in front of Blue Mountain/Collingwood.

I kayaked out to the island hoping to walk around it and there are a ton of birds on it and you aren't getting anywhere near it. The seagulls were dive bombing me cause they had babies on shore so i just left. The lighthouse is falling apart as you can see in the pictures.
