it was my first time tubing... and i loved it. It was really fast, the wait to go up the hill were never long and it's well organize.
Friday evening 2-for-1 is got us back on the tubes even though it was freezing outside. There was no waiting whatsoever for the ramp or ski lifts. A wood-burning fire was set up outside the chalet to warm up. There's a bobsled run, but it's unlit, so we couldn't try it out. The tornado and rafts are hard-sided (the last time we were there, the rafts were inflatable, it's been that long), and picked up a lot of speed when at full capacity. A fun evening sliding by moonlight and a great deal.
We visited over the holidays as the weather (rain than cold) had depleted the ski hills from the snow, but the fake snow and ice seemed perfect for fast tubing. Slides were fast and the allowed number of tubes to be attached together to go down was quickly reduced from 6 people to 2 or 4 people depending of the slope, as most groups were overshooting the slides. We bought a 4-hr ticket at 09:30. At that moment, we were alone on the hill with another group of teens. No wait at the chairlift, no wait at the slides. However, around 12:30, the place became busier and, unfortunately, the staff lost control on some customers: people were not waiting for the barrier to be lifted and would slide while others customers were still in the slide, others were not clearing the slide when done, etc. attendants both at the bottom and at the top of the slides should reinforce safety procedures. We were disappointed to see that on one of the extreme slides, the attendant did not clear the bottom of the slide before other clients were authorized to slide, causing a collision and sending a kid in an ice bank, bleeding. No follow-up to ensure well-being was provided to the party.I encourage family to go early morning when less people are on site.
I didn't know what my boyfriend is preparing for the evening and i had to rely on him to surprise me...and he did ! I was a little afraid i won't like it, maybe a little afraid when i watched from the parking lot, when we arrived...but after our first slide...WOW!!!! It's amazing, it's the most fun experience i had in many years! Everyone should go there, the hours will pass by like seconds! I loved it, i want to go back this winter and i recommend it with all my heart.
It was my first snow activity of my vacation in Montreal. It was wonderful..... we had perfect snow and sunny weather, the rides were so much fun for kids and adults. I come from Miami, so I compare this to a water park but with snow.I would definitely recommend this place for a day full of fun :)
We went there while the weather as getting a big hotter at -15 (after few days of -30) and it was incredibly great. Not to much people (took a 4 hours starting at 11:30). We had a blast in fact. The trails are not as high as Val-Cartier but still fun. But the rafting is definitely not a thrill.
What a place! We really liked the variety of tubing that was available. But don't go on the "tournade" unless you are sure of your stomach and don't get dizzy on spinning rides.
Had a terrible experience. Went as an outing with my sons daycare. Bought tickets then confirmed if we were at the right place& if they knew if my sons daycare had arrived; was told quite coldly we were at the wrong location. They would not reimburse tickets. Manager on site barely offered an apology. She shrugged and pointedly told us its the next exit. She didn't offer a credit on the tickets we bought. Zero.Brrrr on the customer service! From the looks of it; chalet seems dingy, dated& shabby. The runs seem crowded& not well planned. Ps saw another bad review on FacebookAvoid this place!Unfriendly & unprofessional Almost ruined our day ( but mont Avila next door is wonderful& safe& friendly!!)
Fabulous day. Snow conditions were excellent. Staff were pleasant. Would certainly return. Nice activity for a group to enjoy.
Two European friends were visiting Montreal in January, and I decided to bring them to Glissages des Pays d'en Haut on a sunny day. We actually had a lot of fun. My advice:- Tubes are great- Tornade is fun- Rafting is boring- Go early before family invasion around 2:00 pm and before the sun disappears behind mountains- Bring your own lunch (old fashion disappointing burger style ski cafeteria)- Bring dry extra clothes, as snow will enter everywhere.
Line-up au guichet.Line-up pour glisser.Line-up au restaurant.
