Well worth the time to trip out to this beautiful vineyard. Hosts Janine and Simon were fabulous even though we ended up staying till after closing on a Saturday! Sitting outside we enjoyed some wine and a platter - a unique method in that you choose how big and what you'd like so very individual which was great. Simon took the time to give us the story of the wines and also the label and how it came to be - really interesting.Go there, it won't disappoint.

Kirkpatrick Estate is a lovely vineyard to while away the afternoon. We enjoyed a tasting, a platter of dips (of which you pick the ones you would like) and the endless views. Janine and Simon were fabulous hosts who made us incredibly welcome. We would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the Gisborne area. It's rustic, delicious and we will certainly be back!

Went here with my in-laws who live near by, nice wine tasting experience but the thing that made it was the food platter. You got a choice of lots of tasty things which went with plenty of bread and crackers. Would recommend adding the platter to the wine tasting. It's $40 for 12 things which was a nice light lunch for four.

This is an awesome winery to visit. The wine is the best I have tasted and the food is very nice with lots of yummy choices. The scenery is absolutely beautiful - sitting under the black umbrellas on the deck watching the world go by with a lovely glass of chilled wine in my hand , eating cheese and crackers - what more could you want? Simon and Janine are so welcoming and knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble!There were also some every good specials on wine - which was a bonus! We really enjoyed our visit.

My family did a wine tour and stopped for snacks and wine at Kirkpatrick Estate Winery - what a wonderful surprise! A spread of food fit for a king - coupled with wonderful wines and great hospitality extended by both Simon (owner) and Janine! Wonderful setting, friendly people and great wine - what more could you ask for? A definite stop if you're in the area!
