plenty to do here. Walk the length of it, watch the boats and ships, people fishing off the jetty. Good cafes and restaurants, plenty of car parking.

This follows the coast, suitable for walkers and bikers. On part of the walkway is a lovely caravan selling coffee, lunches etc. It has really good food and is very popular .There is also a playground near by

We always do this at least once when in New Plymouth. Lovely coastline. The pohutukawa trees in full bloom .

great time out in any weather. Bring your bike - its worth it. The views are really great. (bla bla till I get 50 characters)

If you like to watch boats, come in , both large and small and watch the local fisherman are catching then you'll love it here. I love it on a breezy sunday morning to blow the cobwebs away then call for a coffee at one of the 3 cafes/restaurants

Another gem for New Plymouth. There is much more scope to make this great walkway into a better touristy attraction - needs some cafes and fold outlets along the walkway to make it more interesting. But, notwithstanding that - it is simply the best view around.

Nice along Ocean Blvd. Fished on 3 days at the jetty, caught garfish, herring (yellow-eyed mullet), skippy, estuary cod and spotty. Very interesting and fun experience

What a fantastic asset the walkway is for the city. Walk, jog, amble, shuffle, wheelchair: whatever way you can you should do all or parts of this walk when in New Plymouth. CBD down to the port, where there are great restaurants and cafes as well as lots of people fishing to watch and then head off north and see all the great sculptures and other artistic pieces - always interesting regardless of the weather.

Beautiful walk around the Port area, fresh fish for sale and a couple of cafe's - small yachts all around - perfect warm sunny day.

An excellent walkway that runs along the sea front. Well used by walkers, dog walkers, joggers, cyclists and the good folk of NP as well!It's a easy stroll or cycle and affords excellent views.A must do

We loved the fact that the walkway was wide enough to accommodate walkers, bikes & scooter riders without fear of ending up at A&E! Places to relax and rest ones feet along the way. Gorgeous sunset!

Beside breaking waves, clean ocean, great views, plenty of room for walking / cycling/ running or skating. Well paved paths.

I really enjoyed using this coastal walkway. I can walk, run, bike and just have fun. When I was a child this area was not accessible for me. Now it has been opened up. Well done .
