We visited Highfields Pioneer Village and were amazed at the size of the village, and the detail of the exhibits. Clearly there's a lot of passion when it comes to maintaining the history there. There were plenty of helpful and friendly volunteers to answer questions, and we really thought it was amazing. The tea and damper was brilliant, and we look forward to going again sometime soon as new exhibits were being added. Well done and thanks for a great day with the family.

We visit here 10 years ago and was amazed at all the improvements. It makes a fantastic outing for young and old. The number of items on display in the various collections is incredible but the way they are displayed and the cleanliness and presentations of the displays is very well done. The volunteers in the grounds are doing a fabulous job and were happy to have a chat about the different displays. You could bring a picnic lunch or have Billy Tea and damper at the cafe and spent the day here as the grounds and numerous gardens are well maintained. Will be bringing the grandchildren and family back, good value, not an expensive day out. Loved it and highly recommend the place !!

This is well worth a visit with interesting things to see and do for all the family. The array of vintage Tractors in the main ring was amazing. It was Easter 2012 when we visited not May 2013.

A really great spot which is very well maintained by a wonderful group of volunteers. The exhibits are well laid out and totally authentic with a great variety of tools, costumes, vehicles and other items from a variety of periods covering the European history. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to go back when the new Fire museum is open.

The pioneer village is beautifully maintained- the grass is cut neatly and all of the old houses/shops are clean and tidy. It was a lovely place to wander round for an afternoon, it was interesting to see the evolution of the milk bottle in the dairy section. It is free but visitors are encouraged to give a donation

This is a combination of static and working heritage museum. It is very cheap entertainment for a family or individual and there is no time limit other than closing time. It particularly traces Australia's farming and transport heritage from early European settlement days. You can also enjoy snacks of damper, tea and sandwiches made on the premises. It incorporates the Southern Cross Museum which is a purpose built shed tracing the history of this irrigation company. Each year on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Easter a special Heritage Festival is held.

Easter is a major 4 day event for this attraction. Loaded with early Australia pioneer exhibits and demonstrations. Open 1000-1600 dailyb over the break. Also open daily. The major event was well worth thge visit and I would recommend it, Be prepared to spend the entire day on site and you will definately not be bored. Food on site at reasonable cost. Admission reasonable and worth the cost. A whole lot of early Australia on display.
