Mission Arts is tucked away at MARCS Park near the corner of Tully Mission Beach Road and Seaview St. Mission Beach. It offers much more than visual arts. It's unique wet tropics sustainable design resulted from the community inputting their needs. The busy facility is not funded by government, however, the volunteers have a great knack for applying for grants and sponsorships to run a wide variety of special programs. There are two galleries, one houses an interesting collection of local art from glassware and ceramics to paintings and gorgeous jewellery. The second gallery features special individual artist or group exhibitions. I saw an amazing photographic exhibition by members of the community. For those who might like to try their hand at creative pursuits, there is a pottery studio where classes for clay and glasswork take place and a large, shady caged area where lessons from how to use your smart phone and creative writing to mosaics are held. The entire facility is run by a dedicated and professional group of volunteers. It is a great place to pick up hand made items to take back home. It is open every day 10am - 4pm from March to end of October and 10am - 2pm November to end of February. This is a must see in Mission Beach.

Varied and vibrant art on display when we visited, with friendly staff. The building is unique in its (cyclone proof ?) style. It's on the way, so pull in!!

Any visit to Mission Beach isn't complete without a visit to the small but perfectly formed Mission Arts. A frequently changing exhibition space and a delightful shop selling heaps of really great quality local arts and crafts. This isn't your normal run-of-the-mill local arts place stuffed with rubbish...there's real quality and talent here!

The treasures available for purchase here are truly beautiful. Not cheap but well worth pulling out the plastic. Right on the corner of the main streets leading into Mission beach, it is worth stopping and having a look at the truly artistic talent on display. The volunteers who donate their time and passion to this place are very warm and friendly.

Mission Arts is a fantastic gallery/shop run by the local arts community. Exhibitions change every month and feature a variety of local talent. The opening night of the exhibition is a social occasion and well patronised. The shop has a great selection of gifts.

The owner is very welcoming and helpful, sharing local knowledge and places of interest. Nice range of prices to suit any pocket

Such talented locals & a large variety of pieces from Jewelry, blown glass to recycled art, paintings & pottery. The centre is run by local volunteers and artists.

Nothing to dislike - loved what we saw but we weren't there long enough to appreciate all on offer. Actually heard conversations relating to art and gave an impression of pride in their local talent.

This is the best small gallery I have visited in a long time it has a wide variety of local artists and arts to satisfy everyone's needs well worth a look especially on market day

Slightly out of town (although an easy stroll from the centre of Mission Beach) this great local art centre should be on everyone's "must do" list when in Mission. Staffed by friendly volunteers and open every day from 10am to 2pm (later in the busy season).
