I have to say this tour by John is one of the best we have been on in Australia. It is a shame it came to an end. I wish a lot of the old mine sites would have someone like John to explain the history.Some friends of ours from Mackay recommended the tour and I know why.We will be back.

A group of 20 or so of us including kids went on this very informative tour. It was about 2.5-3 hours and included a commentary the whole tour. All questions could be answered and it is obvious the tour guides are kept up to date with knowledge and information from federal and state governments, council and the locals. It wasn't just driving around in a bus for this time. We could get off and look around. The tour is family friendly and the kids didn't get bored. Plenty of photo opportunities.
