bush rock gallery

Just driving round stanthorpe and saw a sign bush rock gallery. Followed the road and found the little gallery. Graeme seems to have captured his environment. Lots of birds and a possum or two some lovely granite landscapes and farm scenes. Pretty things that talk about stanthorpe. And garden was very good.

Bush Rock Gallery was a great surprise to stumble upon, not too far off the New England highway South West of Stanthorpe. There is a little bit of a gravel road to get there, but it was in good condition. The gardens were lovely, with flowering Grevilleas and Banksia surrounding the carpark. When we entered, there was no one in attendance, but a notice said to press the button to turn on the light (It's on a timed switch to save power) The walls were covered in many wonderful paintings of various landscapes, animals and birds. The artist, Graeme Schreiber, has a very familiar and comfortable style most closely resembling the " impressionist " masters. I was surprised at how affordable they were, for the quality and substance that they represented.
