One of Queensland's best Outback National Parks. Great that it is only a short drive out of Winton. It offers good driving tracks and the chance to see wildlife at its best. I was lucky enough to see the largest red kangaroo I have seen in my life and is an experience I will never forget. Good interpretation at the homestead as well.

Well worth visiting. The old homestead is full of the way things used to be as an outback property and the natural environment is beckoning. Explore the jump-up, the gorge and swim in a refreshing waterhole. Combine nature and history for a day.

We did not camp as we were staying in Winton, but drove out to the National Park headquarters to see the old station house and shearing shed. Both were well presented and it was an interesting experience. We were in a sedan and the unsealed roads were easily negotiated with care. A 4wd vehicle would be necessary to explore the park.

This was a very unspoilt, quiet camping experience. With only toilets, you need to carry your own water. This park has a lot to offer but signage on the way into the park could be a little clearer. Tip: Collect a map of the park from Tourist Information in Winton before you head out there.

The visit had particular significance for me as my brother had been a Jackaroo on the property in the days when it was owned by Dalgety's.Station homestead and quarters are well maintained by the National Parks and wildlife. The drive around Bladensburg is excellent but requires a high clearance vehicle and probably 4wd.

Took a trip out to Skull Hole and grilled some sausages while the sun set. A perfect way to end a great day in outback Queensland.

Beautiful spot, quiet, lots of bird life. Popular. Kids loved camping at the bough shed waterhole. Clean bush toilet available.

Bladensburg is about the best place to camp near Winton. There is plenty of wildlife including a large snake in the old shearing shed and shady sites beside a billabong. Self registration makes the paperwork easy and should be brought back to all National Parks.

I spent the day driving the various routes in this small park and quite enjoyed the experience... There are brochures available from the Tourist info in Winton that enable you to comfortably follow self drive routes that take you in and around all the points of interest... There are some lovely billabongs and quite a nice camping area for the self sufficient. My understanding is that the park is still being developed but it's an easy drive for most vehicles but definitely 4 wheel drive after rain.

It was a great drive, but the month of April 2014 was hot and lots of flies. We had a picnic at Bough Shed Hole (near Surprise Creek), very nice and to my surprise saw wild budgerigars for the the first time. Very happy! Otherwise did not see much wildlife at all. Bit disappointing!

It is the moiddle of a drought but there is still much to offer in this worthwhile attraction. Lots and lots of kangaroos!!!

We drove from Winton through the Bladensburg National Park after getting information about the self drive tour of the park from the Visitor Information Centre at Winton. This part of Australia is in severe drought and so the creeks and rivers have no water flowing. It was still a great experience and we appreciated the severe conditions that the people live in around here. The Bladensburg National Park has some beautiful rock formations and was well worth the 2-3 hr drive.

One of the hottest September weeks when we were there so it was hot and dry. But still there was plenty of wildlife to see. Would def go again maybe when a bit cooler. Has a composting toilet.
