belvoir park

To the locals this is "Sumsion Gardens". Boasting a great children's playground, bbq's and brilliant scenery Belvoir Park is the ideal family stopover. The lake is not suitable to swim in but is a favorite place for many people to exercise,by walking around the lake, it even has a fenced in exercise area for dogs. Lawns are extensive and wherever you decide to park the outlook is relaxing and peaceful. If visiting Wodonga grab some food and take it all in. You won't be disappointed.

This park is fantastic for toddlers (and parents of) especially if you're planning a picnic as the entire toddler area is enclosed and the BBQ's & picnic areas are within the enclosed area and raised up so you can see the entire play area. Also on the higher level is a pool fence gate out to 'bigger kids' play area which ajoins the toddler area.You can also picnic around the lake (ducks, geese, swans, pelicans) and SO MANY bike tracks interlace with the bike track around the lake.If you are bike riding though DO look out for SWOOPING magpies in spring and wear helmets!!Really highly recommend this park!

This park is perfect. With an area for little kids, an adventure play ground for bigger kids, gym equipment for the sporty, a big grassed area to kick a ball, musical equipment, barbecues, a lake, even a swing for a wheel chair, good public conveniences, and lots and lots of bike paths, this park is brilliant. Let's the dogs have a run, kids of all ages will find something to amuse and exercise them. We visit this park every day - if I were driving from say Melbourne to Sydney this is a perfect rest stop for all the family - and just off the highway.
