Had a great time fishing with Graham. He has great knowledge of the area and his craft and is ready to share his experience. Couldn't have enjoyed the two days I spent out with him more. He helped me refine the little knowledge I had and point me in the right direction. I was collected from the caravan park, driven to the most beautiful sites and enjoyed learning about the area Graham so obviously loves. Lunch provided was sensational. My mother and I had terrific experience with Southern Fly Fishing Adventures! Graham our guide picked us from home, in the comfort of his 4x4 we headed up the beautiful Buckland valley. During the drive Graham shared some of the local history of the area. All his equipment was great, Graham was very patient with us even after mum hooked his arm. We had a ball and would highly recommend!

Came up to Bright for a long weekend and called Graham without any notice and asked if he had a spot for me on his schedule. Fitted me in with a little maneuvering and guided me to nearly catching my first trout on my fly rod. Missed it by that much!Great few hours on the water. This is my third trip out and at the end was advised I don't need his coaching any more. I am good to fly solo.Graham is a great teacher.All the gear you need is supplied. Light meal and refreshments for lunch. Just like to recommend this to anyone, not just 'fishing' people. Had a terrific few hours on the Buckland River, Graham is great company & this makes the fly fishing instruction, more like a good chat with a mate. If you want to brush up your fly fishing skills then Graham is the man. I had a great time on the Buckland River, one on one, and really learnt how fly fish while wading the river; it was quite different to my previous experience when fly fishing from the bank of a lake. Its a pity the fish did not come to party but I am all set up for them in the future. Thanks Graham.

Along with my two sons aged 15 and 11 we recently had a very special experience with Graham from Southern Fly Fishing Adventures. We stayed in Bright and he picked us up from our Motel at 8.30 for a two hour adventure on the water.My boys have had little experience fly fishing and I have been disappointed that I have not done more with them, as I have wonderful memories of fly fishing with my father. On the way Graham chatted about the local history and our experience. After approx 20 minutes we arrived at the Buckland River and he supplied whatever gear we needed along with very good quality waders and polaroid glasses.It was then time to have a practise cast and he really impressed me with his patient coaching and advice given to the boys. Along with continual help with casting he also advised on stream craft, insects, fly selection, knots and the wider environment around us.His continual encouragement and help kept the boys enthused and before we knew it we had been in the water way over our discussed time. Graham did not fish himself and spent all his time helping and passing on his knowledge. At one stage when my youngest was having a rest, I asked him to give the boys a demo. This was great and he showed them some wonderful skills epitomised by some great roll casting under a log. After a couple of minutes the boys were back on the water trying to improve there technique and having fun.A timely brown trout as we were planning on leaving the stream really topped off our experience. After studying it and admiring its markingsThis was studied and released.Graham is obviously doing something he loves and his passion was infectious, with my boys now looking forward to there next fly fishing trip.Graham offered to forward a couple of photos of our trip.
