Standing up against the gale was tricky during our visit but the sea and colours and rock formations are wonderful.
Canal Rocks would have to be one of the most spectacular coastal sights I have seen. There is no doubt that Mother Nature created a most stunning and beautiful place for people to visit. It is a great place to just sit and take in your surroundings.
Never seen such a beautiful sunset. Take some warm cloths as it does get chilly as the sun goes down and some food and drink. It's a magical place.
Beautiful and stunning place to visit.Excellent place for photography, especially if you are those who are particularly obsessed with panorama. However you must drive to get to this place.
Have been here seven or eight times and never tire of it! Quiet little beach area if that's your thing plus some great clambering on the rocks. Sea can get a little rough so make sure little ones are within arms reach if they are climbing on the rocks and make sure you all wear appropriate footwear! At certain times of day the car parking can be a bit of a challenge as there are lots of boat trailers about the place. Nice scenic driving around the area too.
A really beautiful place to visit and enjoy the W.A. coastline great for photographers also perfect for those who want to do snorkelling plenty to see under the water
Absolutely loved this place. The views are beautiful and the sea so blue. You can go swimming here or diving. There is a lovely little jetty that is so great for photography. We went down during the day then back again in the evening to do some long exposures. There are toilets here, which is a good thing when you have children.
Lovely views, safe swimming from the beach. Take you shade. A lot quieter than the beaches around the corner. Nice walk too.
Cool rocks with a walkway over the water. Looks like a good spot for snorkling or for kids to explore over the rocks.
Good walking from car park to over water boardwalk. Stay on marked paths. Beautiful views and good photo opportunities of this fabulous stretch of coast.
Canal rocks is great with kids. Climbing along the rocks, watching the waves splash over the rock, explore the shell beach (on the second 'island'), or just counting the crabs. It is a great place for photos. We have been here several times, but this was the first time with our kids (11yo and 8yo) the day was overcast, but very pleasant. We spend 3.5hrs exploring and climbing. To top it off there was a pod of dolphins coming in to feed as we were leaving. Great spot!Free as well!!!
Beautiful blue coloured water. Slight waves before the sea breeeze comes in. Small secluded bays. Ideal for families.
It was great place for short visit. Saw couples with glas of wine, people fishing, photographing sunset. Bridge is quite narrow, so not for prams or wheelchairs. (You can see on the photo that it ends on rocks, so if You want to explore are bit further, better take comfy shoes): https://500px.com/photo/94376213/canal-rocks-yallingup-wa-jacek-bak-by-jacek-bak?from=userI managed in flip flops, but next time will take better shoes to get a bit further. And lots of mosquitoes after sunset. But definately was worth visiting for me. Beautifull place.
This is a fantastic place for a tourist or local to visit. I have been coming here to fish and sight-see for many years but the area has been transformed by walkways leading across the rocks. The area is a naturally formed canal that separate the ocean from the rock platform that can be viewed without fear of being washed in from treacherous seas. This is also a beautiful bay with boats being launched and children swimming and snorkeling. This is a must to visit.
Wear walking shoes so you can go climbing and exploring the rocks. Or if you were like me, you can follow the boardwalk right across a canal and enjoy the views. Really crazy people were jumping into the water (it looked like fun!)
