The entrance to the park costs 38,000 COP for foreigners (14,000 COP for Colombians) and there is only a 900 meters platform over the Mangroves that you can walk onto! There is another path that supposedly takes 8 - 10 hours to walk but the guide told us we couldn't go there because it is a military area!To get to the park, you also have to pay 60,000 COP for a lancha, that also bring you to "playa blanca", a grey tiny beach full of plastic bottles. We had lunch there, 15,000 COP for three deep (deep deep deep) fried pieces of fish, a patacon a some rice.Snorkeling is really not amazing, there is no corals, no colors and very little fish...And they do not rent snorkels....Maybe it's nicer during whale season. Instead of the park, I recommend going to TERMALES and staying at Refugio Salomon. The beach in Termales is much nicer, bigger and cleaner, and there is a beautiful hike to a waterfall (Los 4 encantos), where you can also see some cute little very poisonous frogs!And we saw whales there, way after the season was over. So Termales is THE place to stay if you visit Choco!

Utría es uno de esos lugares que siempre se recuerda, ya sea por sus hermosos paisajes, la deliciosa comida o el salto de sus ballenas. La ensenada es un lugar muy recomendado.

Es un lugar muy hermoso, especialmente en agosto que están las ballenas. Cuando se llega a la estación dictan una charla y después se puede visitar la isla de Salomón, practicar snorkeling o caminar por el sendero de los manglares.

Aunque no ví ninguna ballena (era el final de la temporada), disfruté muchísimo en el Parque y no tuve tiempo de aburrirme. Me alojé 3 noches, caminé por los manglares, por la selva, estuve careteando (haciendo snorkeling) en distitintos puntos de la Ensenada y playas de la zona, me relajé en una de las múltiples hamacas y no hice kayac por pura pereza.El alojamiento es de calidad para la zona y la comida excelente.

Este lugar es increible, siendo el lugar donde las ballenas dan a luz a sus ballenatos, también con un manglar que se puede recorrer, en la ensenada se puede bucear y hacer canotaje. La comida es impresionante y las habitaciones son muy cómodas.
