This has got to be the best aquarium ever. You need to spend a whole day there to see everything. The dolphin show is the highlight but there's birds, penguins, fish and sharks galore. A really great day out.
This needs refreshing; poor signage, poor information about what you are seeing and the outdoor pools are a bit sad. Not a patch on others although the variety is good, but even the fish and birds and other life do look bored. Do not try the greasy burgers and chips! What a waste of such a good location.
I am from Canada and I have seen a lot of aquariums. This aquarium is kind of like all the rest. There are some neat parts to some of the areas though, like walkways are build through the aquariums so the fish can swim around and over top of you. The Arctic exhibit is very sad because the animals are so bored in the cages that they literally just swim the same pattern in the water over and over again. The dolphin show was just average and it was so cold that we didn't even stay for the entire thing. If you have never been to an aquarium I would suggest going but beware, the price per person is 27€ which is ridiculous!!
It was the most beautiful aquarium that I visited. The tunnels were great(so close to marine life!).The dolphin show was excellent(Do not forget to check schedule for this show)
Take the time to make this a stop on your Valencia visit. There are so many exhibits of interest - beautiful displays both indoor and out. The tiniest fish to the largest- all easy to view. There are different sections for each species so if time is limited , pick what you are most interested in. We loved the outdoor aviary enclosure .
This is a half day outing, not cheap, but educational in a number of ways. The fauna are well exhibited in what are well maintained environments, but it does raise the question about zoos - would you like to live in such a confined space - for the entertainment of others.Without facilities like this, most people would never see the wonderful and beautiful creatures, so an balance, it is worth the visit - and I would go again
It was expensive but we're glad we paid. So worth it! There was lot of information about the fish and the tunnels were really cool. As the biggest aquarium in Europe it's a must see.
DO NOT GO! I would give 4 or 5 stars if it wasn´t for the fact they have whales and dolphins there. Horrible. Poor things. When will humans ever learn to respect other animals? Please look on the internet to find out how these beautiful creatures are caught and how they live in captivity before supporting such an industry. I assure you if you find out, you will never ever pay to see them jumping through hoops at places like this. Shame on you Valenicia!
Aquarium is mooi.
