every time I go to Chile I see the most spetacular landscapes, Huilo Huilo is one more to add to this impressive country. It is a must go!The Nothofagus itself didn´t impresse me, had a kind of disneyworld air... but it was fun
the whole surroundings make it look more wonderful!!!! take TRUFUL track and end up the afternoon down there. Magnificent views.
These falls are beautiful for sure. The water is blue and it seems like water is shooting out from inside the rock in parts. If you are adventurous, you can climb a bit closer and swim in a calm, but cold, rock pool. But this in not Niagara Falls, nor Iguazu. Don't go out of your way.
Just a short way from our hotel was the entrance to the falls. It is an easy short walk (with some steps) to the falls where you get a good view. I'm guessing the colours would be better if the sun was out but even on a grey day it was very impressive.
Amazing wonderful waterfall. Absolutely required to visit more than once at different seasons, you will always get spectacular pictures of the waterfall, the blue coloured water (due the dissolved Co) and the magic forest. The way is a nice and short trekking fully stepped so take it easy if you're not in a good shape. If you dare you can extend the path up to the upper level of the Salto del Puma, also very spectacular. On the other side of the river you can take the a little bit more skilled and long path to reach the lower level of Salto del Puma. The conditioning of the path and the observation platform are truly like a fairy tale.Totally recommendable in order to enjoy marvellous river with crystal clear water and pure Chilean native forest.
Beautiful waterfalls. The trail towards the falls is easy, with staircases. The access to the lower fall is very good, you can make nice pictures there.
We did a great hike through rainforest which ended at the Huilo Huilo waterfall that was great for whole family!
Nice walk to falls and Puma falls too, only self guided part of the bioreserve. There is a playground for kids at the entrance of the walk and a coffee house at the end of the trail
Huilo Huilo´s trails are well maintained and marked. My family enjoyed several beautiful walks through the reserve. We were impressed with the organization and maitenence of the trails. Salto de Leone is a great short hike! Loved it!
It is a great place, but the trails are too short. Go first to Salto Huilo Huilo and then to Salto del Puma. If you like to walk pay to go to the Botanical trail as well.
These saltas are beautiful. The forest is loaded with blooming fuchsia. Great photo ops!! Wonderful spot.
We have visited this park several times, and this summer we found it renewed and with a well designed walkway down towards the falls. Do not expect to find guides on your visit to indicate the flora and fauna of the area. Nice and demanding hike exploring Chile's native forest. Bring a book along if you'd like to identify the species! Nice coffee shop.
an excellent hike to the park, i was on a short visit (one day). best to enjoy it during the summer. it would be best with a tourist guide to know more about the history of the place.
grat place o go and do the night tour , the tour guide explains everything and then from the darkness they light up the fall!! great idea!
Very nice walk through the native forest with family for people with or without physical condition. Beautiful views of the falls
