Panoramic vista of the entire valley. Bolivians are very proud of this statue and remind the brazilians at any opportune time that "Size does Matter!"

Firstly I am not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination but to visit this magnificent statue takes your breath away in more ways than one. If you haven't acclimatised to the altitude then you will love the final climb from the car park. Its a killer. But worth every gasping breath when you get there.

bigger than pan de azucar in rio,de janeiro, the aircraft landing in the crazy cochabamba airport do a wing tip salute as they bank full rudder for final approach, interesting ride....hahaha, ladie and gentlemen , get you barf bags ready

Well worth the visit if only for the wonderful views over Cochabamba.I would recommend that you use the cable car as apparently there are thieves around the steep pathway.!!

If you are in Cochabamba, you can't miss it! Just take a taxi or teleferico and go to see one of the biggest Christ statues in the world. Take your camera with you as you will have some great views on the way:) If you decide to walk up the hill, make sure to take some friends, as is said that lonely tourists are easy prey for cleferos (drug addicts) who creep out in the area.

Affords a super view of the city and as all locals will tell you, the status is just a little taller than Rio's equivalent. Worth going up to see the view from inside one of the arms.

We went up there for the panorama. The view from the top of the hill is amazing. Cable car is 6.5 bs one way or 10.50 bs return. You can enter Christ's hollow concrete body for just 1.5 bs. If you want to walk all the way up, and safe money, prepare to lift your legs at least 1200 times. If you're tired to walk back to your hotel there's a taxi stand just beneath the hill. They are gonna charge you 20 bs. Just walk 100 meters further and pay 10. bs.

Great views of the city. Cable car is 10Bs or you can walk to 1100 steps. Highly recommend this. You shouldn't use the steps at night.

amazing view ,you can use the ski lift for 10.50 Bs instead of climbing 800 steps to the hill..and during day and during night is wonderful...you will spend 2 hours

It's a big Christ up on the hill. Great views to all sides. One can really see the massive sprawl that is the Greater Cochabamba Metro Area. The stairs inside the Christ were closed (I think during lunchtimes) when we got there. But that's OK, as they looked like a claustrophobic's nightmare. I was happy to have an excuse not to climb them. The cable car ride up was pleasant enough. All in all, a fun tourist attraction that you can basically have to yourself, even on a weekend.

El Cristo is an essential part of any Cochabamba tour because it gives a great overview look of the whole city and the stunning mountains surrounding it. Even during an unusual 2 hours of drizzle, the views were spectacular. If it's overcast, take a jacket, as it can be windy at the top. We took the gondola up and down because of rain, but my friend who lives in Cochabamba says the best way to do it would be to walk up (though take water because it is a tiring walk!) and gondola down. The gondola was small (6 people per car), and they seem to wait until it's at least 3/4 full at the bottom before they run it...though it might have been a timetable that we just weren't paying attention to! Prices were super reasonable by Western standards.

We stayed on the hill and watched the sunset, then traveled back down the funicular while enjoying the city lights. A great experience!

We went up by taxi on a beautiful sunny day. Beautiful scenic drive, no traffic. Great views and amazing pictures. Fun and easy outing; must see :)

If this is the first time in Cochabamba, the traveler must climb the Cristo de la Concordia. The view of the city is wonderful and the statue is a majestic work of art. You can hop in a taxi or take the funicular. My only complaint is that they close early in the afternoon and that restricts the opportunity to visit this place.

What a way to see the city! You can see the Cristo from practically everywhere in Cochabamba. We didn't walk much at all. We drove straight to the top, and walked a few stairs. I liked it much more than I though I would. 4 meters higher than the one in Brazil. A must see if you are in the area.
