tunnel of love

Lovely place to visit if you are a nature lover in Rivne area. We took a taxi to get to Tunnel of Love since it's not so easy to find it. Be sure to bring mosquito reppellent with you because million(s) of mosquitos are waiting for you!

Wonderful, romantic place. The tunnel is completely natural. Many lovers come. Is a normal parking lot and still have a lot of mosquitoes.

A local resident was incredulous that tourists came to visit, saying that it was more a 'tunnel of neglect' than a 'tunnel of love', but its exposure over the internet has brought tourists from around the world. It is worth a visit to get some photos of the tunnel.If you drive to the village of Klevan, you'll see small signs pointing you to the 'Love Tunnel' (see photo). As someone else has pointed out - take insect repellent as the mosquitoes come at you in squadrons! Although, at the time of my visit, an enterprising local woman and her daughter had a stand set up to spray visitors with repellent for a small fee.

It's beautiful indeed. A bit hard to find, yet ,finally we managed to make it there.And in fact, I proposed there to my then-girlfriend :) So I love that place.

The tunnel of love is a very lovely place, maybe a little bit difficult to find but definitely something to remember!To reach it I just took a local bus (marshrutka) outside Rivne railway station to the town of Klevan (Клевань in ukrainian) for 10 UAH and got off next to the railway station in Klevan. The trip took around half an hour and the buses run frequently.Anyway it's better to ask the driver where is the best place to stop in Klevan. You can ask in ukrainian Тунель кохання (Tunnel Kohannia).I HIGHLY recommend to buy in advance an insect repellent spray because there is a very HUGE amount of mosquitoes trying to attack you! In fact the place is a forest and a swamp.After the first km, the tunnel becomes more wild and there are less people. I arrived at a half of the tunnel, maybe I walked 3-4 km, but after I came back even because I saw some snakes...There is a little train of a couple of carriages passing sometimes through the tunnel. It brings some wood products from a factory on the other side of the tunnel to Klevan railway station. It's very very slow and you can get a chance to take a very nice picture!

Located in the middle of nowhere, in a tiny village of Klevan about 30-something kilometers from Rivne, this place is so majestic, you can't believe you are seeing this beauty after old roads and surprised villagers. This place is not commercialized yet, so it's free, not crowded, no vendors with magnets or other useless things. Although, locals told us that actually many people try to see this place - they had tourists from Korea, Japan, etc.In the village itself make sure you go to a Roman-Catholic church built in 1630. It's poor and renovation is taking longer than one would hope, but it's a unique and beautiful place. I was surprised to see such gems emerging out of nowhere. The keeper of the church said there's about 12-16 people attending the church services, and also let us climb to the roof of the church. From there, you can take wonderful pics of the Klevan landscapes - lovely and gorges sight.Next time I go to Western Ukraine, I will probably go for a few days and stay at some local family's house - cheap (since people there live quite poorly), authentic, lovely, and unforgettable experience.IMPORTANT: going to the tunnel, take some gel/cream/spray for mosquitoes!!! They were really feasting on us!!

This is a pretty random sight in the world that has popped up on various lists online of wonderful sights to visit. Great for photograph enthusiasts. It's 10 min from Rivne, and a little hard to find, but if you don't speak the language (like us when we travelled) bring a photo of the place and people will happily direct you. The train track tunnel is pretty long, so take your time as the light varies as you walk - but bring bug spray - the amounts of mosquitoes are overwhelming, but they leave you alone as soon wear the spray.

Не надо ждать чего-то особенного и далеко ходить не надо. Нет смысла. Место достаточно простое и я поначалу очень сомневалась, что фото будут хорошие. Фото получились хорошие :-) Но лучше ехать даже не весной, а вот июнь-июль, как раз всё зелёное будет :-) И хорошей компанией, лес всё-таки!

Очень душевное место. Стоит потратить время, чтоб проехать по ужасной дороге, чтобы окунуться в минисказку. Классные фото выходят. В жизни может и не таким уж и ВАУ показаться, но там хорошо... Такая себе бесконечность, которая по своему завораживающая и хороша в любое время года. Ранней осенью тоже хорошо - такое разноцветие...мммм

Находится наше 8 чудо Украины,как уже успел за собой закрепить название романтический туннель любви в смт Клевань,не далеко от г Ровно.Романтика,природа,местные продают сувениры с символикой туннеля ,влюбленные парочки,много иностранных туристов,а самая умиляющая картина ето молодожены и свадебный кортеж,которые в несуразных позах пытаются изобразить радость,с одной стороны комары которым все мало,а с другой стороны рельсы которые и являют основу етого самого туннеля,правда ети снимки в руках опытного фотографа превратятся в шедевральный свадебный альбом.

Природный туннель образовался за счёт того, что длительное время никто не обрезал деревья и это делал поезд.Получилось красиво.

Одно из 20 самых интересных чудес мира. Естественный природный туннель из деревьев, по которому проходит железная дорога. Проходящий поезд образовал красивый вид на протяжении нескольких километров. Туристы со всего мира уже приезжали сюда.

Был уверен, что поезда там давно не ходят... Стыки рельсов, трава в полметра, ветки деревьев позволили мне предположить, что поезда здессь какое-то время не ходят.Каково же было удивление увидеть поезд.У пути кусты черной малины, озера, болота, луга... но идти до конца тоннеля совсем не обязательно - пройдя полкилометра вы увидите все, что можно увидеть и через 4 км.

Место довольно интересное, но совсем не такое красивое, как на большинстве фотографий оттуда. На самом деле полностью аркой деревья растут на очень короткой лдистанции. Очень много мусора, бутылки презервативы, салфетки, экскременты. Должно быть романтично, но благодаря людям не получается, хоть природа и старалась
