There was a guide who was somewhat knowledgeable. The history of the place was very interesting. It would have been much better with some signage and even some restoration.
The therms are located right next to the Bey Mosque Museum and the Public Bath, which is all very close to the town center. It is a nice sight to see and take pictures at.
very interesting place, amazing geyzers, and such an experience when there is snow around you and you are enjoying a swim under the open sky.
Roman Terms a quite popular in our City. A lot of tourist coming from all over the World just to see it. There are tunels , which can bring you directly in the montain. No tax, its free from everyone to see outside. Location - in the center. Also "The combination of different building techniques and architectural styles make the Pautalia therms one the most interesting monuments from the Roman period in Bulgaria. They are one of the symbols of Kyustendil. "
The Romans liked a good bath, and made any place with a good hot spring an administrative center. Kyustendil has some good hot springs and the Romans built quite the bathing complex. They are in the middle of town and not fenced off, you can get a really good view of them. They are on both sides of a road in a busy little neighborhood, right next to the current town baths where you can see the steam coming from them on a chilly summer morning. Worth looking for when walking around this interesting little town. There is some sort of building adjacent to the therms that might be open to the public but I didn't investigate as it was very early in the morning when I walked by.
