Fabulous and stunning island, and as anywhere in Cratia: Gentle and service minded People everywhere! Just Love the country an the islands!
i like nature in island Hvar, you can go there for swimming, exploring beaches, bicycle rides and lot more...City Hvar is beautiful but overpriced.I think that locals should offer more to tourists than just sun and sea because there is almost no nightlife except city Hvar and some periodical local celebrations.
Such a beautiful place, romantic during the evening.. Good for treaking. Nature is preserved, beaches are wild ... I did a tiny road trip in Hvar. Beautiful alleys behind the Church of Saint John...
we took a morning catamaran at 11.30h for some 7EUR, it took some time 1h, catamaran stops in the center of the city .... Hvar is a small town beautiful town square .... ideal for a day trip ....
Hvar island is beautiful, and big enough to offer something for everybody! We had a great time in Hvar town and on the north coast. The towns can easily be reached from Split by boat, but to explore the interior of Hvar, a car is helpful.
Ellite and historical place ! Beautifull beaches , very friendly hosts. Amazing view from a local castle !
It's an expensive island (in comparison), but absolutely gorgeous. Several tips:Camping can be found in Jelsa I was told... also Starigrad has a camp site, but I haven't stayed there either. There is only a nudist camp in Vbroska (are you following now...). I suggest getting out of Hvar Town and exploring. It's just expensive there, while the rest of the island has a lot of character. I walked from Vbroska to Starigrad, dipping down to Dol, which took about 6 hours but was totally worth it... so gorgeous. There are "trails and bike paths" I couldn't find, but the roads weren't busy regardless. If you're there before 1, there are wineries everywhere and you can easily make some friends.
Hvar is one of the sunniest place in Croatia. Hvar have greate nightlife during summer, great sunny days and food is brilliant.
After arriving in Hvar from Split, there was an immediate comparison. The island was beautiful and full of wonderful things to see. Although small, there were many beaches in the area which filtered the tourist population. The island had a variety of shops and restaurants available with both high and low prices. Lovely, beautiful place with things to do for all ages.
Hvar is amazing: stunning beaches, clear cristal water, vibrant nightlife, international atmosphere.
this is how i imagine the cote d'azure in the 60ies. apart from the music in the night clubs, one might think that you have time travelled back in time to a beatiful place with wooden boats and stone villas
stayed for 3 days - along with korcula, a beautiful island with great seafood restaurants and beaches. wander up to the fort or laze on the beaches or catch a boat to a nearby island beach....the choices are endless. the restaurants in the main square are excellent but try wandering around into the back streets as you'll find some real gems there.
We were there June 2013 the weather was unseasonably cold and wet. Too bad as I got the feeling everyone comes here to enjoy the sun and sea....
The island of Hvar is one of top spots to visit in Croatia. An exciting island, some 50 kilometres long, offers various joyfull places to visit. Visiting Hektorovic castle in Stari Grad or Franciscan monastery in town of Hvar is a good choice when looking for cultural sites out of the season. Don't miss to taste wines from southern site of the island, especially in village of Sveta Nedjelja.
Beautiful coast line and Nice Hotels arround the island. We enjoy relaxing by walking in sunset view. Anyway it is the most place I would like to visit again.
