lika river

I was incredibly lucky to be asked to take a tour down the Lika River when in Croatia in September and I'm glad I did. This 80 minute boat ride up and down the Lika River was relaxing and spectacular. I not only did still photo's but made a video from those photos because of the beauty of this man made River.Notes: This is the longest river in Croatia. It is the second longest man made river in Europe. The river is drained every 10 years and cleaned. Seven hundred families once lived where the river now exists. The River was created by the dam which is down river. The river was built 50 years ago. Locals come here to fish.
