Sara, you are the ultimate wine tasting server. We know that you take great pride in your winery because you are part owner. Your white wines were exceptional and we bought five bottles which included several of your fantastic rose wines. It was greatly appreciated that you wrapped each bottle and put them in a box to be packed in our suitcase. The wines were between $5-7 US dollars which was a phenomenal price. We have been to quite a few wineries in Santa Barbara, Napa and Sonoma and the white wines could not compare to this winery. I would highly recommend going here.
Too much a commercial winery for a fairly small operation. It had stainless steel vats which is not in itself bad, but not quite "homey" enough
Winery in a new building, beautiful architecture. Try the white wines, they're really good. Drink their Pinot Noir, sitting on the lawn and look out over the beautiful scenery.
It was our pleasure to host such an international group at our winery. Please return to us at your next trip to Budapest. We might show you the secret how to put together a blend.
Tasted amazing wines with our sweet hostess and had no choice but to buy a case. Beautiful new building for tasting, great atmosphere, and such a cool brand/label!
We had the opportunity to visit etyeki Kuria with some friends from the USA and couldn't have asked for a better day to be out in the winery tasting fine wines. The Pinot noir is excellent must try !!! What's so fantastic about this winery is their new modern wine cellar and the fact that it's only 20 minutes from Budapest which allowed us to be back in decent time to enjoy our last night in Budapest for dinner. Strongly recommend going out for a visit...
Love the rosé! Great wine, great location, great day! The location is amazing with a wonderful view. Very nice sitting out back in the sun. I'm a fan of all the wines here, but the rosé was my favorite.
I learned to appreciate their pinot noir wines two years ago. This month I brought some friends to Budapest and I sent an e-mail to Sara and asked if we could come and visit her facilities and taste some wines. What a visit; an architectural pearl of a wine cellar and building, the friendly manager Sara served us their very elegant & nice wines - we loved them all.We will come back again, with more friends!
The winery has an amazing building with modern style, but it safe the local traditions too. We have just sit on the terrace with the autumn sunshine, and we tasted their wines. We ordered ham and chees plate, it size and quality was very good. I reccomend this place to everybody who like modern and tradition together. The service was ok, but the capacity is limited, because one kind lady was there.
We stumbled on Etyeki Kuria, after refusing the trip our hotel wanted to send us on. The first thing to say is the Wine is stunning!! A group of us were visiting Budapest last week and wanted to do a wine tour, our hotel wanted to charge £65 per person for a three hour visit. We arranged our own mini bus for the short trip and the Hostess agreed without any notice to give us a tour. We then tried some of the best wine we have ever tasted in a superb and relaxing setting. Sara was amazing, and gave us a great insight into the wine making process and her own history with the vineyard. We then sat and tried seven different bottles of wine over 3 hours with Sara knowing just when to appear or to leave us soaking up the stunning surrounding. We finished off the tour by staggering around the new winery that is nearly finished and promising a return trip next year. If you are in Budapest you need to take time to visit this winery. If not I can’t recommend their winey enough, you need to try it in a restaurant or when chilling in a Café. Thanks Sara
Etyeki Kuria was an absolute gem to find and what fantastic wine!!! I was visiting Budapest a few weeks ago and had stumbled across Etyeki Kuria White at a local restaurant. After doing some research that night online realized that the winery was very close to the city so we decided to go out for an actual wine tasting. We were able to take a taxi for under 5000 forints which was fantastic and the owner Sara was extremely nice and explained everything to us along with a tour of the grounds.I highly recommend taking a visit out to the winery if you are in Budapest, if you cant make it out there than definitely order some in a restaurant. Also, a fantastic surprise I was able to buy some in the duty free shop leaving Ferihegy......5 stars.. cant wait to come back when I return!!!
If you are in Budapest and have an afternoon this winery is well worth the 30 minute drive into the gorgeous countryside. The Pinot is amazing and the Chardonnay is the best I have ever tasted.
The beautiful view and charming tasting room made this an unforgettable experience, even in February when we visited. We were welcomed with wonderful hospitality by the manager, Sara Matolcsy. The wine is noteworthy and fantastic. It is well worth a drive from Budapest.....an unforgettable experience for us!
