veszprem zoo (kittenberger kálmán növény és vadaspark)

Seems like this zoo has been a wildlife park before as the animals are mostly in the open ground behind a net fence. Very good place to go with kids.1 thing to notice is that there are no children toilets or baby-mom rooms.The place has a lot of facilities for kids and is great to wear off their supernatural powers. Parents won't be spared though :) so prepare.

Great zoo for kids, you can find there red small panda, red boar, lion, tigers, birds and more...Two adults & one child cost us 5,500 HUF. They have there big cage with lemurs that you can get inside and take a picture with them, great!!!Do not miss that.

It is nice that the zoo locates in a green area. There is no noise, the air is fresh and the animals have more space than in usual zoos. It is much more fairer for them. The zoo itself evolves year after year, and know it is one of my favourites. Recommend for everyone.

This is a nice small zoo, appealing even to people like us who do not like zoos. Set in a beautiful ravine, the bears typically have more space than usual to move around in. However at present there are many renovations and developments taking place, the zoo is confusing to walk around and a good many of the animals' living spaces have been disrupted as a result. The excellent restaurant set between the two halves of the zoo is not accessible at the moment and seems to be closed. Usual fast food stuff within the zoo itself. There is not indication when you buy your ticket that you are not going to get the full zoo experience, and it is a disappointing trip at present, no doubt next year it will be much better.

Really interesting and well spaced Zoo. A bit of a walk to get everywhere but totally worth the time and effort.

I love this zoo, it's quiet and beautiful. The animals are in nice areas. If there are a lot of visitors the parking can be difficult, it would be great to build more parking lots. The restaurant is great too.

This Zoo has a totally unique atmosphere with its location. Some renovations would be needed. Parking is good.

This is a nice family outing where younger kids can get excited about the animals as well as play in the indoor and outdoor areas. Our 3 year old loved it but the 10 year old not so much.

Expensive ticket (compering with the prices in Hungary), several animal (giraffe, lion, monkey, rabbit, bear, zebra, camel etc.see on the homepage, MAP menu) but could be more. You can pay with card and cash, you will get map at the cashier.What really good is: Kid jungle and terrarium. If you have kids, they will enjoy it and you will have the possibility for a short relax. Very good place in winter times, when you can not find any program.

We wanted to spend some quiet time close to nature and while being in Veszprem, we visited the famous Zoo which was just walking distance from our hotel.Althought the weather was cloudy, rainy .. visiting the Zoo was still a good idea.The cashier did advise that due to the weather we`ll see less animals than expected however we didn`t mind. The camels, lamas, tigers, lions, owls, dears ... etc. were all there in a newly / well kept area. We took tons of pictures and had a good time, feeling like a young kid again being on a field trip with the school. My favorite was the owls, they are beautiful and felt very photogenic as they only moved their heads when I was ready with the pic!

Various animals (zebras, tigers, lions, giraffes, monkeys, snakes, bears, etc.)... A bit expensive ticket. Should have a map/plan of the ZOO.

This zoo has a very good location close to lake Balaton. The only complaint we had, that on a sunny, hot Sunday there was not enough buffets on it's huge area, any many of the buffets were run out of ice-cream and/or drinks & meals early afternoon.

Really cute area. It is a nice place with children. There is an opportunity to introducwe animals in their confortable place.

Nice location, lots of animals, well kept. Make sure you check out the chimp house! Don't bother to visit in cold weather, all animals wil be sleeping in their keep

This small zoo has everything your kids wants to see - except killer wales and delhines. But you can see elephants, zebras, hippopopopopoop in the "wild". The zoo park itself lies in a beautiful walley under a bridge.
