Very small and quiete empty. Nothing to see in there . No point in having 1 little room about Egypt , as we are nowhere near Egypt here :o So many amazing free museum in Europe . This place is a joke

Nice experience when you make a visit to Debrecen. Prices are decent and it is easy to get to on foot from the main square.

A beautifully maintained landmark of the city Debrecen, which is a "must" during a visit there. The iconic paintings of Mihály Munkácsy and the lovingly displayed artifacts of Hungarian folklore are treasures that one cannot enjoy every day. A very worthwhile experience!

an Egyptian exhibition currently on, interesting especially looking at the scans they that had been performed on the sarcophagus .A great exhibition on the Hungarian folk culture.And the 3rd exhibit was The Trilogy. 3 four mtr high religious paintings by the one painter, each owned by a different gallery but brought together for this exhibit.

This may be just a regional museum, but the things it has are excellently displayed. Information is both in Hungarian and English, and good educational value. They have Egyptian mummies, excellet etchings and lithographs, archeological aretefacts etc.
