I spend here lovely familly sunday. This zoo is small but is enough to spend good time with your familly. You dont get tired here. Your kids can play here and you can relax. Just perfect!
Great renovation!! Small place but really nice !! Recommended for kids to have fun and see the animals from so close
Went here with my family and was impressed by the cleanliness of the place. Animals seemed to be happy enough with their environment.
this zoo used to be a lot worse that it is now but it is still pretty depressing. the animals are just sitting there doing nothing. the entrance fee is okay. the whole place is small but kids seem to have fun. also all the animals smell really bad. the day i went one of the pelicans flew out of the place hes supposed to be scaring all the kids there with no guard to come and pick it up. you can pay 5 euros to go on a 2 minute ride with a pony. there is also a snake house and a cafe for the parents to sit. its worth for kids to have fun on a sunday afternoon.
its a fairly small zoo but very well kept and clean. Animals seem to enjoy the somewhat natural environment they are kept in.
small but perfectly formed might be a good way of describing the zoo in the zoological gardens in Limassol. It's not too obvious but once you've found it, enjoy. Its no good expecting lions, tigers and giraffes, this is altogether a more gentle experience and just right for young children or u energetic grandparents. The mouflon posed beautifully on top of a rock and small Peruvian marsupial type animals stretched out in the sun. All I gators showed their terrible teeth in best Gruffalo style and turkeys strutted their stuff. Piglets trotted after their pot bellied mother and goats lazed in the sun. The otters played underwater and altogether it was a pleasant experience. an hour was enough for an almost toddler but there were seats and a cafe too. Everything is well laid out. parking can be found on the same side of the street as the zoo, immediately by the footbridge.
This zoo is well situated but the parking isn't the easiest, but we found cheap parking not too far away for €2, the zoo is well priced and our children really loved but the only downfall is that it's not big enough for a whole day out.
This was a pleasant surprise as it is fairly tucked away in the municipal gardens and I was expecting it to be much smaller than it was. My 10 and 6 year olds thoroughly enjoyed their visit and it gave the best close up view of swimming otters we've seen. Was nice to see some animals that are native to Cyprus too.
A real surprise as this was quite run down a few years ago. Only a small zoo but looks clean and had some good animal enclosures which had glass screens so could get close to the animals. Only €5 for adults to get in and under 5s are free. My son loved it, will visit again.
Went here today after reading reviews and it was perfect for our 17 month old daughter she loved it, ignore reviews saying terrible living conditions, the animal pens are more than enough for the size and number of animals in them. This is certainly for infants and small children, a nice leisurely hours wondering around. Would recommend to go with small children.
Kids had a good time, the Zoo was located in the Municipality park and the place was clean. At the end of the Zoo kids enjoyed their time in a small playground.
This place should be closed immediately. The animals are in such small living conditions. Really poor facilities.
Limassol zoo is one of those attractions that you have to go again it has some cute somthing like orange squirrels.
The visit to the zoo was a lot of fun to me and two my 5 year old daughter. It is clean, tidy, a lot of animal to see( although not big animals like lions, elephants etc) and has the wright size as not to be tiring. Has also a small playground and a small cafe. Ticket is 5€ for adult and 2€ for kids over 5 years old. Very nice.
small. simple. not so clean = but super for the kids out on a sunny day. plenty of animals to see, plenty of questions to answer. whats a day out with kids like?
