This mountain is one of the best I have been too. Lots of good runs. The piste is always kept amazing. All the staff in every bar are friendly and funny. The ritchies ski school is great for anyone who is learning or wants to learn. Plus the views are breathtaking. The neighbouring mountains are beautiful. Worth a ski

5 kilometers from Kreischberg. Wonderful little medieval city surrounding by the Styrian Alps. Big castle on the top of the city. Nice little main square, beautiful coloured houses, little shops, coffees around. Little bridges above the cristallclean river Mur. Good to walk in this little jewelbox.

I have now skied in Kreischberg 6 times and I can honestly say that it is superb. I go with a group of friends and we stay at Chalet Alpen Rose in Stadl An De Mur. The resort itself offers a good mix of runs for all abilities mostly served by gondola or chair lifts. There are lots of places on the mountain to stop for a drink or something to eat and all the resort staff are very friendly and make you feel really welcome. If you need any lessons the local ski school Mayer is superb. Its a big thumbs up from me.

Havering skied all over Europe for 14 years, Kreischberg is by far the best family resort we have been to. The mountain is magnificent with all the fun on the slopes you can ask for. There are 4 ski schools on the mountain, who charge a fraction of the prices you pay in the Tirol resorts. The restaurants are excellent, all with wifi connection. From a safety point of view all run go to the middle station. This is a very family orientated resort, there are only 3 hotels the the village the remaining accommodation is self catering chalets or apartments. Visit Kreischberg you will not be disappointed.

such a beautiful place and ski resort, there are a lot of pists, easy to hard. its a huge area. there are a lot of activities. but accommadation posibilities are really less. we found accommadation really far from mountain.

It is not the greatest ever ski area in Austria, but not too small, slopes are well maintained - and they had snow down to the valley on all slopes, even in 15 degrees Celsius (and above 0 at night).

Very good and well-organised ski-place with beautiful surroundings. Ideal for starters and restarters and for family holiday. Lot of ski schools, always crowded buffets-restaurants. Good for sunbathing on 2000 m. Nice hotels, and pleasant pensions around. Excellent fresh air, bliue sky, we had luck with the weather. 5 km to the city of Murau.Definitely recommend for everyone.

First I had been on the Kreischberg on a hot day in August 2011.2 weeks ago it was also sunny but the lanscape was cover by good quality of snow. I have not gone for skiing due to a ski accident many years ago and Kreischberg was the place to give a new chance to skiing. It was a perfect choice. I cannot compare it with other ski spots in terms of quality or prices. But I beleive it worth its price. It was not overcroweded, infrastructure in good condition, enough parking places and the local beer in the "hütte" was tasteful.:-)

Kreishberg is a lovely wel orginized clear ski resort in a lovely valley. We stayed in a chalet in stadl an der mur and had a great time skiing on the Kreishberg. There are long wide slopes with fantastic snow. We brought a murtaler ski pass ( a ski pass that makes it possible to ski in 8 ski resorts near Murau) And its great. I think the valley would also be great. In summer.

Kreishberg is a very good ski area, i visited the ski resort last week with my family. It's a very childfriendly resort because there are very good skischools And it's not to big, the slopes are wide and the snow is fantastic. It's very good orginized. We brought a murtaler ski pass,With that pass you can visit 8 ski resorts in the area ( the Kreishberg, turracher hoehe, lachtal , grebenzen , frauenalpe, gaal, hohentauern and prabichl) first we wanted to buy a ski pas for the Kreishberg but when we saw a murtaler pas was only 9 euro's more expensive we brought that and went to the turracher hoehe and kreishberg. The weather was good with fantastic blue ski's and loads of snow.I would love to come back next jear and in summer,The area is very nice and the people are friendly.

We have been skiing here for five years now. It is a good ski area that just got much better with the introduction of a brand new run. The new run is great and next year there will be a new lift which I hope gives easy access to the Rosenkranz runs. What is good about Kreischberg is the great black run to the valley, the fantastic 6er run and the fact that even when it is busy you seem to be able to find quieter runs. What Kreischberg lacks is a choice of good huts to dine at. The only one with a good atmosphere is the Rieglerhutte but the food is just simple food. The other restaurants are a big self service restaurant at the top of the gondala. The food is OK there but just OK and certainly nothing to write home about. The Jager Alm at the bottom of the black run looks promising but isn't. The last time we were there we swore we would never go back - bad food and bad service. What would make this resort great would be a really great hut with proper service and excellent food. By the way, one day we tried Lachtal that shares the same lift pass with Kreischberg. What a disappointment. It seems to be a bigger area with more lifts but the lifts don't really take you anywhere and the runs seem so short. The queues were also bad. Right at the top of the mountain dominating the skiing is a huge great wind farm with massive turbines. It is a bizarre sight. Having said that, the views from Lachtal were stunning. Also, on the plus side it seems to have some great restaurants. We ate at Sissi Park and the food was excellent.

Friends has a house in Murau and we came here for a week. The valley of Mur is amazing! People are friendly, food is great, beer as well. The weather is absolutely summerlike - over 30 degrees in daytime. Wednesday and Sunday the ski loop of Kreischberg is open and you can easily get up on the peek or down from the peek by the lift. Or if you are keen on hiking can make some effort by yourself. There are several options for walking, hiking and enjoy the formidable surrounding. Hütte is open, you can stop for eating at middle level or on the top. Are you in need of some fundamental positive energy? Definetely good idea to recharge your batteries in here!

A variery of slopes, always prepared. Looked a family friendly - pistes for all level and a kids park. Not boring for a week at all (rather experienced ski user). Great weather, but that was a pure chance. Seriously considering returning next year with kids.
