Clean beach and shallow sea with small waves. Treat yourself to an excellent fish lunch at the local taVerna owned by Sava. It specialises in well cooked fresh caught fish at reasonable prices.

One of the best sandy beaches of the island, better go in afternoon where the families are less. Sunbeds and umbrellas are on the beach.

Clean and perfect for family. We enjoyed a small restaurant near the beach and met a lot of families with children. The landscape and the view around is gorgeous

Small ,quiet and slightly off the beaten track beach. Local's favourite beach .Sun lounges , umbrellas and refreshments available from local mini-tavern .It might get bit noisy on weekends.

A great beach with sand. Shelves quite gently. A very good taverna by the beach - the Flisvos. The gouna I had - sun-dried mackerel - was delicious.

Nice beach in syros!!! has many little port before Agathopes beach and that also vey attractive. nice sunny beach and many coffee shops around. It has hotels for accommodation with nice sea view.. restaurants also very nice.sure you will like it..

The beach is amazing! Specially the night when the flowers that grows in the sand start opening and a magic smell comes out! If you visit agathopes beach stay and wait for the smell you will never forget it! And be careful while you enjoying the sun not to destroy or pick these flowers!

Beach was nice with sand. Didn't have to worry about rocks when walking into the water. Water is nice and shallow, perfect for kids too. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent.

Great beach shielded by the wind. Probably the best in Syros. Crystal clear water and a beautiful tavern by the sea. One umbrella and 2 sunbeds cost €6.

Small village beach.... One taverna blue clear water... You won't be sorry take a bus from town for 1 Euro each

This is probably the best all round beach in Syros. The island is not known for its beaches, and compared to Mykonos or the Ionian, Agathopes would score in the medium to low range. But in Syros this is the beach you should visit: it is easily accessible, (the bus stop is a 10 minute walk), good sandy beach, shallow water so ideal for kids, relatively clean and organized. The big advantage is that when there is a northern wind (and meltemia are common in the summer months) the beach is relatively protected so you don't get sand blown in you face!There are a few (about 50?) sunbeds and umbrellas that you have to pay for - otherwise you need to be organised or find a spot under the trees for some shade. Gets very crowded in July and August. There is a small taverna behind the beach for refreshments and coffee, but for lunch opt for the Meltemi Taverna, 50 metres before you arrive at the beach.

nice place to hangout... with company of friends and partner is advantage to go around and enjoy sun tan.. buses always available so no need to worry for timing, atleast till 8 pm.. sea is quiet good and do wanna come out of water.. i will say you have to visit syros..

This is a wonderful beach. We always visit there every time we go to series (every year). Its main attraction is that the sea is so wonderful there - it is very shallow and you have to walk quite away to swim, but it is lovely and warm, a great place to swim. A nice clean beach and a small tavern, basic but very good. The bus takes you close but you still have a 20 minute walk to the beach. Well worth a visit! Is it the best beach in Syros - probably not, Delphi is much more attractive, but there's nothing wrong with 2nd best.

Σίγουρα η πιο "κοσμική" παραλία στη Σύρο. Οργανωμένη με ξαπλώστρες, ομπρέλες, μπαράκι για καφε-ποτά. Θα μπορούσες να την πει κανεις χαριτολογώντας "Ψαρού της Σύρου". Προσωπικά την επιλέγω σε περιόδους με λίγο κόσμο!
