Toli is the hardest to get to of the "serviced" beaches on Symi. The others have regular boat services, bus services, or are in walking distance of the town. That's why Toli is quiet and peaceful, and has completely different views to the other beaches because it is on the west side of the island. To get to Toli you need to walk across the top of the island, or drive. It's not huge, there are maybe 30 sun loungers and some "unimproved" beach. The gem is the taverna/beach bar which has probably the best beach taverna food on Symi, and shaded bar areas for relaxing.

Beautiful bay - and fabulous taverna called Daphne's really great food and beautiful setting. You need transport to get there as beach boats didn't seem to go.

We visited Toli Bay on quad bike which was really good as part of the route was an unmade and fairly rough road. Having said that others reached the bay on scooters and four wheel drive cars. The trip is definitely worth it as the setting and taverna are excellent. Dafna's taverna is a real gem and the food is excellent

This is a most beautiful bay, reached only with your own transport, or if a day cruise drops you for swimming - in which case you will miss Dafnes' Taverna. This opened a few years ago and is magnificent. The food is tremendous and the family is truly hospitable and friendly.

I walked here from the harbour about 2 hours each way. Otherwise it's a car or a donkey!Remote bay and a good taverna, I only had a drink there but the food looked good and the terrace was mainly populated by locals. Friendly service, views all around, empty bay.

Is a little difficult to get to as the road gets a little rough. But is well worth the journey. The taverna here is excellent. The service really good. The view is beautiful. The beach was lovely and quiet.

Great, idyllic taverna location, friendly family and very good food. Been there 3 times and will definitely go again. Make the effort and you are at what I consider to be the islands best lunchtime spot. It's what Greek Islands are all about. Never mind the shale beach underfoot, just take in the surroundings and soak in the sun, peace and atmosphere. Take a swim, use the sunbeds & shades, retire to the taverna and repeat as needed. I like the free sunbeds - they are a freely provided and a great benefit. Being out in the sun at length is impossible for my skin (and most I guess), but I enjoy a read, a beer, a doze and a swim. (I've never paid in Symi, as opposed to places where you can rack up a considerable sum over a holiday). Anyone who chooses cook in the mid-day sun is still welcome to it.If possible make the effort to walk, but set off early and return late to avoid the heat. There is no problem following the painted waymarks and it takes about 1.5 hours at a steady pace. It is a little rocky in places, but for the reasonably fit should present no problem. It deserves success, and will only be there as long as it is patronised. In it's location it is so out of the way it's hard to imagine it being spoiled, unless the Symi Bus begins a service. There are just a very few other beach tavernas on Symi worth making the effort for. Use it or lose it I say.

The beach and nearby restaurant is nice and good. They do not charge for the sunbeds. Only handicap is getting there taxis refuse to go down to the beach they leave you on the top so you should walk or wait for one to pick you up.

No taxi boats & too far to walk – need your own transport to get there; car or moped (altho’ there is a stretch of about one mile which is dirt track & so a wee bit bumpy) or own yacht – because of this you don’t get many people & that’s why we like it.To get there, about two miles outside Chorio on the Panorimetis road, look for a right fork, which has a small sign saying Toli beach & then follow the signs for Toli Beach & Daphne Taverna. The road / track does go on for about three miles before you get there, so don’t worry that you’re lost, as it winds thru’ small hamlets and farmsteads. The beach is rocky, but quite long so good for beach combing & the swimming is good. There are sunbeds and parasols which are free.

Amazing little beach secluded and quiet. We got a taxi part way then walked to the beach, it is a wonderful place and the Taverna is excellent. There were only four other people there fantastic, we then walked back on a path that's easy to follow above Nimborios. Paths on Symi, you just follow the Red and Blue dots on stones, or get a map from the Map Shop in Upton on Severn you can buy online.By the way Sun beds are free...

Symi is a small island which relies on its tourist trade and I guess with that goes the expansion of places. So here is a once remote beach (pebble and not great) which now has a narrow, steep road down to it and once there the obligatory beach loungers and umbrellas. Not too many people - though it is popular with the locals - and a very nice taverna that somehow makes it all worth-while. Excellent traditional food - nice salads and a very relaxing setting.

......and you'll be rewarded with a pristine, but stoney beach. Quiet, which is always a blessing and a taverna whose food is wonderful.

Hated the last part of the road to get there, but the location is wonderful, with its great peaceful terrace on the sea and marvellous home made Greek food.

We love the wal to Toli, there are several different routes you can take and knowing the walk bach up the hill is hard work you can enjoy a fantastic lunch at the Taverna by the beach.
