We've gone to Enoteca Cava Turaccio a couple times and have thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting with antipasto! It's really fun to sit among all of the bottles of wine & enjoy the food & wine. There are only a couple of tables and the service is excellent!

We had our post-wedding casual dinner here and were amazed - it was the food highlight of the entire weekend! The fish sampler was astonishingly good (some of the best smoked salmon I've ever had, and a local fish soaked in oil and mustard that was a surprising but good taste), and the tagliatelle made of buckwheat was one of the standout dishes of my entire time in Italy. Norberto's suggested wine pairings were great and the setting was beautiful. One note - be sure to reserve if you have a large party (we were 12) as the entire restaurant maybe seats 20 people. Or reserve just in case a large party like we were has occupied the big room! It's an amazing place, and my husband and I will definitely return on our return trips to Bellagio!

Had read about this wine bar before our trip and couldn't wait to try it. Went with dear friends and the 4 of us couldn't be happier. The owner Norberto was exceptionally knowledgable and a gracious host. There are wines to satisfy every price point, a lovely meat/cheese platter to accompany a bottle or two, and a charming, cave like setting. We returned each night we were in Bellagio and were never disappointed. I imagine "in season" it gets crowded but it's worth the wait.

The wine bar is adorable with a wonderful selection of wines. We went twice and the second time we invited some other tourists with us. The owner/wine master was not very hospitable and neither his staff. Their service was professional and we were served quickly. The place was not full either time and we thought he could have been a bit more personable with his customers and spent some time talking about his wines and products. Not sure if we would go back again, it was hard to get a smile out of them.

I was less than impressed with Bellagio as a whole--compared to the many charming little towns around Lake Como, Bellagio is the most overrun with tourists and the most gimicky and overpriced --but Cava Turacciolo was a wonderful change of pace. The cavernous dining room felt like being in someone's private wine cellar, and the small "hot plates" section of the menu contained inventive and well-executed pasta dishes. If Bellagio has you feeling like you've stumbled into the Six Flags of Lake Como, a (few) glass(es) of wine at Cava Turacciolo is sure to revive you.

My wife and I were staying in Lake Como and intended on visiting this local spot based on the great reviews we had read. It lived up to our expectations. Great wine, service, and tapas. Highly recommend! On a side note..if you drive to Bellagio, be prepared to spend some time looking for parking as the city gets very crowded and parking spots become scarce.

We were recommended this place by a friend and our high expectations were exceeded. We selected the wine tasting and pick three meals to match: fish pate, cheese/meat board and ravioli each accompanied with a wine: white and two red. The wine and food was amazing and the owner was very knowledgable and attentive. The restaurant is located in a small, cosy, stone cellar and three tables are set amongst the wine bottles. Definitely put this restaurant on your to do list when visiting Lake Como!

I highly recommend this bar restaurant to everyone. The decor was very cozy and made you feel like home. The tasting menu was high value and it had a good choices of wine tasting menu. The ham and salami were excellent. They introduced to dip ham and cheese with honey. It was the first experience of this new way of eating. The salami was the best I had ever had. I ended up bought one white wine and one red wine home. They even gave my friend a bottle of honey as a gift for her trip. This was very sweet of him.

This wine cellar was recommended by Rick Steves so I put it on my must do list for my stay in the Lake Como area. I spent the better part of 3 hours here trying everything that I could get my hands on. I don't have much expertise in the area of wine and the owner was more than willing to recommend different types of wines based on what I liked. I knew that I wanted to purchase an Amarone but given that I don't know much about wine he was very helpful in suggesting some appropriate and explaining the differences between each of the vintages. In addition, I made inquiries into olive oil and balsamic vinegar which he made some excellent recommendations and stayed within a very modest price point.I would highly recommend a stop at this wonderful place... you won't regret it!

This was definitely the highlight of our afternoon in Bellagio. We did the wine tasting which was a perfect way to sample some of the local wines. We also had the plate with several different types of meat and cheese. It was really good! This place is really cool inside, small but that adds to the experience. Great place!

One of the most charming restaurants I've been to. Great selection of local wine, excellent and friendly service, and fantastic little bites to nibble on. We got the cold cuts and cheese plate, which was tasty and a good value. The local honey they serve with the cheese is to die for. Also got the seafood sampler which featured 3 different types of fish right out of lake Como. The smoked chub pate was outstanding and something I won't soon forget. This is what Italy's all about!

My boyfriend and I happened to stumble upon this place as we were exploring the very beautiful Bellagio. We were quite early, so the place was very quiet. We were welcomed by the owner, who provided us with menus and recommended us some authentic Italian Presseco, also giving us some background about where/how it was made.We ordered a salmon dish, bread, olives and the cheese/meat platter - everything wasabsolutely perfect. A Michelin Star will never compare to this place. It was quite clear that every last ingredient in that place was carefully selected by someone who really has a passion. Everything was authentic to Lake Como, even the one pasta dish. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone and everyone. I would recommend going early as possible to avoid the large crowds. Will certainly be returning.
