arion fountain

Liked this fountain of all those in the square.It has more charm and fantasy about it.The turtle & the sculpture of the 2 children add to it.Be sure to pick up a map, with detailed information, (Olomouc in a nutshell) at the tourist office beside the Town Hall.

The fountain is located at the main market square which adds se beauty to it. While visiting the square it will definitely be seen.

It's a lovely fountain situated on the central square of Olomouc. You'll hardly pass by it... but it's worth to stop for a minute and descry all the details. Yes, of cause, there are bigger and greater fountains in the world. But Arion Fountain seemed to me really unique with its design and ideas it brings...You won't pass by... but if you stop near it, I think it will attract your attention...

Really nice fountain in city where there are lots of fountains. My kids came back few times to spend one more minute here. Worth seeing when you're in Olomouc Old Town.

Another beautiful fountain in the city after a while you lose count of them. What is good is that they are all working and well looked after.

I am not sure why they are fond of greek methology but the sculptures are very nice.I like the turtles a lot.

The craftsmanship is incredible and well worth a look but the style is not to my taste. Others with more sophisticated tastes than me will be able to tell you more about just how masterful this fountain is.

This lovely sculpture in the Upper Square has several components. The boy and dolphin in the water, the coral column on the turtle in the water and the turtle on the square. You can look for hours at all the tiny details and it is a delight!! I love the little faces and just looking at the turtle on the square will bring a smile to your face as you discover the little dolphin on his head and all the little turtles on his back. Children love to climb on this turtle and I must admit I spent probably an hour looking at all the marvelous little sculptures on the column. There are many visualssurprises!A must see!

Good place to relax after sightseeing and to refresh your burning feet in its water, in summer of course. Its allowed, so dont be shy and take some rest here :-)

The Arion fountain is possibly the most beautiful piece of Olomouc's extensivecollection of public sculpture.

Гуляя по Оломоуцу просто невозможно не заметить этот фонтан. Особенно в жару около него много детей и молодежи. Хотя детей отпускать здесь опасно - рядом оживленная проезжая часть. Но насладиться брызгами обязательно нужно. Рядом с фонтаном церковь, если есть возможность, ее стоит посетить

Bella fontana ad ornamento della piazza centrale di Olomouc... di architettura un po' rococò... relegata in posizione emarginata

A mitologia está presente na cidade de Olomouc. Durante o dia faz muito calor e esta fonte, bem como outras do centro, refrescam e muito. A noite (quando o sol se põe, bem tarde) esta fonte e as demais do centro ficam ainda mais belas devido ao jogo de luzes.

In Olomouc gibt es im Stadtzentrum mehrere Wasserbrunnen. Die meisten von ihnen kommen aus der Barockzeit (Herkulesbrunnen, Caesarbrunnen, Neptunbrunnen, Jupiterbrunnen, Merkurbrunnen, Tritonenbrunnen). Das Ensemble wird von dem moderneren Arion Brunnen ergänzt, der im letzten Jahrhundert gebaut wurde und das Stadtgesicht in moderner Weise prägt.
