这里真是美丽的地方，从弯弯的路一直上有高高的塔楼，可去到塔楼顶部一眺全区的美景真是美不胜收！这里决不能错过，尽量在博物馆关门前去到！

Museum has nice exhibition. I think it is one of the best in the country.So if you will be around it is worth to visit.

Should you find yourself in Mestia, I highly recommend visiting this museum which is very informative about the Svaneti National Park, the surrounding region and its inhabitants. Lots of information and varied artifacts.

Georgian government does a lot to preserve cultural heritage. This museum shows it. Modern, well equipped, interesting.

Don't miss this if you're in Mestia. There's a wide collection of treasure and local artefacts form gold crosses and coins to daggers and snowshoes. Go up on the roof for the views (steps around to left of entrance) - it may not look like you should but staff actively encouraged us to do so.

Truly, the collection at this small museum is of Smithsonian or British Museum quality. Well curated, and utterly fascinating, both the collection of religious artifacts and ethnographic pieces are quite superb.The museum is a surprise; one does not expect to see displays of such quality in such a remote regional museum.Simply wonderful.

An amazing museum in a beautiful setting. I learned so much about Svan history and culture. It is worth a visit!

This is a modern, sophisticated museum with a wonderful collection of treasures from Svaneti. We spent about an hour looking at all the displays and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a surprise this museum is! The museum has beautiful views over Mestia, which explains why it's on a nearby hill rather than in the centre of town. Don't miss it!

We very much enjoyed our guided museum tour. Lots of really fascinating objects you don't normally see in other museums. Learned a lot about history of the area and had a great time. SO many really interesting, unique and valuable items.Museum guide's English wasn't very good - we had our guide translate much of it. We also felt a little rushed by the guide and the group behind us.I would highly recommend a visit to this museum!

Small but with so many valuable expositions. I am not sure if they know how many great things they have there :)

We didn't have enough time for Mestia but suddenly were passing by and decided to have a look at the museum collection. It's worth visit! I imagine how the goverment has invested into this building but now it's one of the best regional museums I have ever seen. A great collection of historic objects (coins, weapons, a silver jug of queen Tamar and so on), explanations in English and a unique exposition of photos of Svanetia dated the end of the XIX century. The visit can be short but bright and interesting. You will have the great view over the Mestia valley and Svan towers from the museum terrace.
