It was very windy up here but there's some good views. You can drive up and there's parking here and you can go for a walks. If it's a nice day, you can see birds and sea life. we didn't see any, though, and it was cold and windy when we visited it last june. check out the nice traditional old Irish cottages on the road up to malin head. the concrete building dates for ww2 and there are bunkers here used in the napoleonic wars too. we only stayed about 15 minutes as it was so windy.

Gorgeous views, well worth the trip. Even on a dull day the Atlantic is beautiful, but would advise to wrap up warm.

Malin Head is so incomparably beautiful it would be shame to miss if you are anywhere near. The road is so much fun to drive (if you're like me and like a good windy road!) and the views are spectacular. Don't miss the Curiosity Shop on your way. The owner is very friendly and there are some fun trinkets to bring home. The headlands themselves are gorgeous. If you are feeling brave, stray off the paved path and just enjoy the beauty around you.

Nearly gave up as roads are tricky.. But don't! Irish person hitting Malin for the first time and I cannot understand how we don't promote this place better! Spectacular and emotive! Now it needs good parking, a toilet and someone to develop that horrible tower but all of this does not take away from this place.. Scotland to your right, Newfoundland to your left, Greenland straight ahead and the seas from all these places joining at this remote spot in our little Island.. Proud to be here but sorry I did not take my children here!

The drive to Malin Head on the Innishowen peninsula was gorgeous and the views on arrival were very nice but I was a little disappointed by the set up of the view point. The bunkers and tower do spoil the atmosphere of the place and the whole stop would definitely require a little tidying up to give justice to the views.

If you have a car it is worth the drive to Malin Head. The roads are narrow so you should go in the daylight. The view is breath taking. We drove from Clonmany took about 35 minutes. There are paths to walk and see the area.

It is a lovely run up to Malin Head. Well worth it. Spectacular views. We went in Sep. and there was ample parking so don't know what it would be like in Summer.

A long and bumpy drive, and not much to see really, a bit of a box-ticker really that I wouldn't repeat

Malin head, as the most northerly point of Ireland is quite remote, but Inishowen has plenty of breathtaking sights, so a tour around that stunning peninsula is definitely worth a day. Malin head allows an amazing view of the coast. I definitely recommend to bring a windbreaker, as we were almost blown away. If you have enough time and feel warm enough, there's a little walk (keep walking after the path ends, the best part is yet to come)

Well worth a visit. The views are amazing. Tea and coffee can be purchased along with souvenir's at the top by extremely friendly locals. Make sure you stop for a bathroom break before going to the top as there are no toilet facilities.

The most northerly point in Ireland, loads of character, about 8 beaches (mostly deserted) within 40 mins drive. We stopped at Slievebawn Cottage. A great little place for a couple or with small child. Its next to Faras bar (the most northerly pub) and 5 mins walk to a excellent shop and the excellent seaview taven (the most northerly restaurant) The harbour is always busy and the near by caravan parks ensure there are always people around. Great walks all over, the coast line is wild and rugged which makes even more dramatic on a windy day. Our cottage was simple superb, clean, walm and comfortable for us two and our Dalmatian Gucci who loved ever minute of her holiday. Search for Slievebawn if you need further information

I visited Malin Head with my family for the summer. The views are very inpressive and the landscape is beautiful. It's a very nice place and the people are very welcoming. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

We came two days in a row late summer and experienced different weather each time. First day sunny but windy with a clear view and the second day drizzling rain and misty. It was crowded on the first day and we were able to park right at the top on the second day. Well worth the visit, just to say you've been to the northernmost point of Ireland.
