The weather was exceptionally warm when I visited, so it was pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The highlight was the spectacular view of Hamlet's Castle (Kronborg). The ferry has good connections to the rail network and crossing are frequent, so there was not long to wait. The price (with 25% discount for having the Copenhagen Card) was reasonable in relation to the experience.

We use this short boat connection to Sweden since 20 years. Boats leave every 20 mins, no reservation required even not in summer.Friendly service, food for reasonable price. We use the BroBizz transponder and work around to wait at the cashier. If you to more frequently, use the transponder system. This transponder works at different places as the Öresunds bridge and the Big Belt bridge. If you come as pedestrain get on board from the train, either side, make the transfer and keep on going,

A must to do, do t miss itU also can enjoy shopping in ferry, quite good offer indeedA lot of thing to do in Helsingør

Elksab

A quick route across the water between Sweden and Denmark. You can take and relaxation in resturant or sit on the sun deck and enjoy the view. Both for walking and car traffic on the ferry. Enjoy the customs rules in the store between Sweden and Danmar, you have to be there to see. On the one side, only to let to buy beer then in the center of the water it changed to just let to buy tobacco.

The ferries went through a interior update 3 years ago so they are very modern looking unfuturenatly modern and comfort are to different things, so the settings are not as comfortable as could wish for, but since it's only 20 minutes crossing (25-30 before you are ready to leave ferry) it's not that big a deal, the prices onboard are ridiculously high and it's mostly tourists buying anything.

This is a ferry and takes only 20-30 minutes. The ship is modern, very clean, light and airy. All very efficient. The shop on board is surprisingly good.

Quick and cheap way to get to Denmark from Sweden. A small shop on board, café and a restaurant. Nothing too fancy. If you can choose between Aurora af Helsingborg, Tycho Brahe and Hamlet, don't choose Hamlet. Very small, only services are a shop and a café and some kind of a bar. Big sundecks on all of the three ships (don't know about Mercandia).During summer season the queue to the ship can be long, but don't worry if you don't get to the first ship. Usually there's space on the second ship.

while going back and forth over the öresund you can enjoy a nice brunch buffet. Friendly Service, Kids section on the buffet.

The traditional way to travel between Sweden and Denmark. How much fun can you really have on a bridge??Do like the locals and try a "Tura", the most classic of all pastimes in Helsingborg. Board the boat and don't worry about getting off. Instead, have a nice meal in the restaurant. Try some of the great local "Aquavit", like the Danish "Aalborg", the Swedish "Skåne" or the Norwegian "Linie". Traditionally, you should sing a song with each one, the locals will be happy to help if you invite them over. There is no need to disembark when the ferry reaches it's destination. Just remain seated and travel as many times forth and back as you want. Just remember to get off in the right country. The longer you have been on board, the harder it gets. A "tura" is once forth and back i.e. 2 trips, a "dubbeltura" is twice forth and back i.e. 4 trips and a 'trippeltura" is three times forth and back. Calculate approximately one hour for each tura. Note that you only need a one way ticket for each time you board the ship, so you can go as many times forth and back as you want on one ticket. The longer you stay (and the more aquavit you have), the bigger the risk is to accidentally disembark in the wrong country, so take a second to double check.A popular continuation of the evening is to get off the boat in Denmark and continue to one of many very cozy pubs and restaurants in Helsingør.

The service is regular, efficient and comfortable. Good shops and coffee houses on board. Good facilities for currency exchange. A good way to have an entertaining trip across the border.

Klynge

A cup of coffee or some food on board - but not much time. Shopping possible, in particular cosmetics seems favourable in price.Nothing fancy, but okay service and quick transport to and from Sweden.

rustyhead

An easy way to cross from one country to the other and you can purchase your train ticket at the same time as your ferry ticket and your purchase can be made in advance. Good, reliable service and I think they run until 11pm. Food and drink is available but the trip is not long.

The most common thing people do when they are in Helsingborg is to to take the ferry to Denmark, as drinks are way cheaper the on the mainland. We wouldn't believe it, so we tried it. And yes it iss kind of fun. The trip is short, ca. 30 Min but the bar staff is efficient.

jellybelly10001

Good facilities on board, with cafeteria, bar shopping, ferry service regular and on time, quick and easy crossing, use every time I travel to Sweden via Denmark instead of the train as it breaks up the journey a bit.

We took a round trip on this ferry from Helsingoer,Denmark to Helsingborg,Sweden. Its 56 DKK round trip per person. Jojo pass is not valid for the ticket. There are two ferrys : Aurora and Hamlet.Nice seating and nice ambiance on the ferry. The sun-deck provides great views of the Kronborg Castle and Sweden on the other side. There are very good deals on perfumes, chocolates and alcohol on the ferry. On enquiring,we got to know that its cheaper that Denmark and Sweden prices. It really was! You can pay either in Denmark Kroner or Swedish Kroner.Pick the offer brochure while entering the ferry.
