I'v been recently to visit the mosque. It's in the peninsular quarter of Constanta 2 min close to Piata Ovidiu. It's a beautiful islamic influence landmark of the city, and the view from the tower (minaret) it's breathtaking. Alos, to acces the tower you have to take the stairs (which is quite an effort).

Hidden down a narrow street there's a wonder. This mosque is lovely to look at inside and out. The chance to see the city from the minaret was one we didn't want to miss. We were also privileged to hear the call to prayer from the top of the minaret while there, a sound that I find relaxing and reminiscent of days in the Gulf. Definitely worth a visit and at only RON 5 per person it's such good value when walking round the old town.

Located just off the pedestrian Piaja Ovidiu, this mosque is a beautiful stop for its views both internal and external. The 5 Lei ticket gets you access into the central worship area along with the 147-step climb up the minaret for breathtaking views of the old city. Head wraps for women are available at the ticket counter for no fee. Inside, you can see Europe's largest oriental rug. Woven in Turkey, it weighs an astonishing 1,080 pounds! A beautiful place of worship, no matter what your religious background.

The mosque is among the many features of the central pedestrian area of Constanta, built just over a hundred years ago, with help from King Carol. Constanta is frequently by-passed as Rumania's port city, and tourists flock to Bucharest, the capital. Having visited Bucharest a couple of years ago, we decided to remain in Constanta, and were delighted to find a variety of cultural sites and cafes, especially around Ovid Square, centered around the statue of Ovid.

Must go. Not very high but worth the climb to see best view of peninsula. The area is unde renovation and will likely be very pleasant when finished.

We docked about a mile from town and took the ships free shuttle bus to the centre of Constanta. This lovely little mosque wasn't high on my visiting agenda and we found it by chance, whilst negotiating the the construction site that is Constanta at the moment! To visit the mosque tower the charge is 3lei and although Euros are accepted in most places, they're not accepted in the mosque. We walked on to the Mosaic site, Which warranted a visit and, changed our Euros there, at an exceptionally unfavourable rate! Back to the mosque to pay and climb the tower! It was worth it, not only to get our bearings but to enjoy the vista of Constanta without the construction nightmare at street level. The Greek Orthodox Church dating to Constantine the Great was also interesting and meandering through the streets will be much more pleasant in the future.

The mosque is worth visiting first to see inside as a non muslim and to the climb the minaret which is something you do not often get the chance to do.The view over the port, marina, Black Sea and Square was worth the climb.

The mosque is interesting to a non-Muslim and the minaret give the best view in town. It's definitely worth the climb up the steps.

When we visited, a Muslim man entered, climbed onto the parapet and sang the prayers in a beautiful Bass voice. Nice tiles and architecture. The view from the Minaret is outstanding.Would be nice to have a pamphlet explaining the Mosque's history.

Worth the small ticket price for a glimpse of the ornate interior and a climb up the minaret to get a gorgeous view of the beach and city center.

Very interesting, and was pleased to be able to take photos. The staff were interesting and friendly and very willing to talk, and gave us the history of the place. Most interesting was that it was a Christian King who funded the original building here over a 100 years ago. Wonderful views from the top of the Minaret.

Located near the Ovidiu Plaza , it has been my key attraction point every year. Although it`s rather hard to walk all those steps,it`s definetly worth it. From there you can see the new harbor, The House with LIONS, Tomis Harbor, and Ovidiu Plaza. Almost alll of the Peninsula .or Historical Center. MUST VISIT. Make sure you enter at the ground level .THe arhitecture is grand. I especially love the green "carpet" .The price is affordable, around half of euro per person.
