Dont be fooled. This is actually a large park in the city. Its good for a picnic on a sunny day or a walk around
A nice walk on the flat wheelchair friendly, the courthouse at one end an appropriately the old jail at the other.
This is a lovely park right in the middle of Armagh. I really enjoyed having a green space to hang out in. Kids loved it too.
Other than a Sainsbury's there was nothing in the Mall. Very dissappointing and felt rip off to have to pay for parking to do your groceries.....
I love the Mall in Armagh…..its the distance I can run..its flat well lit and I feel safe even late at night. The Georgian houses, the green, beautiful tree lined avenues and plenty of places to sit. The rooks are entertaining and plenty of easy parking in the evening.
A really lovely enclosed green area surrounded by paths. Part of the green is a cricket pitch. The Mall is busy on sunny days with family picnics, school children kicking balls and on certain days, cricket matches. It is very popular with walkers, to keep fit or to walk the dog. The area is surrounded by a courthouse, a redundant jail, Georgian houses and several churches of different architectural interest. There are monuments the latest addition being in memory of the Armagh railway disaster. The footpath which runs around the outside of the area is supposed to be a mile.Enjoy
Large communal park in the centre of Armagh. Adjacent streets are filled with beautiful Georgian buildings. A very pleasant place.
When I was told that the Mall was an attraction of Armagh, I thought they meant a shopping centre. This is a large oval shaped green park in the middle of the town. It is pleasant to walk around.
the mall park is the place to go if you fancy a walk or on a hot sunny day you'll see people out sunbathing on it, you can watch the cricket players playing or visit the monuments in the park, just across the road then there's the mall shopping centre, its small but has what everyone needs and plenty of car parking spaces at the rate of approx. 40p per hour which is great value.
Great for an afternnon stroll on a nice day. I am here often, and always enjoy strolling about on the mall.
I often visit the mall for walks in the evening. A great walk and a must see attraction. The mall is surrounded by beautiful Georgian buildings, trees and monuments and is free of charge. If you are visiting Armagh, take a walk and bring your camera, some lovely buildings to photograph. It is also very close to the main shopping area (about 5 to 10 minute walk)
But this is true of most of the area, there is a grocery store in the Mall as well as a Benetton United.
Good selection of independant shops, not just huge chain stores.Quite a few steps & slopes so not disabled friendly.Plenty of places to get something to eat
The mall is one of the main attractions in Armagh and is a must see for any tourists! It is a great place for a walk or a picnic. It is close to Armagh city centre and is handy for any big public events. It is also a great meeting place as everybody knows where it is. We walk on the mall a lot and you can also bring your bike and cycle around it!! I reccomed the mall for people looking for a nice walk in the centre of town.
Often walk around here with a friend. Easy to park right beside it and it has a calm feel about it. Suspect that a few undesirables selling things they shouldn't hang around the top end - but don't let that put you off.
