railway tavern

I've eaten in the tavern a few times and was back again today. The food is lovely and very good value. A few favourites on the menu; steak pie, macaroni cheese, stovies etc. It's not an expensive place to drink and there's usually a good atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Thought they had done away with this kind of pub.Very male and football orientated. Plenty t.v. coverage of games and volume loud enough for all to hear above the shouting.Tables to eat so sticky from quick wipe overs without any detergent on cloth.Food was very good and service pleasant with prices reasonable.Definately not for me though.

Have visited this pub on numerous occasions, every time gets better and better. Excellent beer, excellent food which is also great value for money and the bar staff and waitress bend over backwards for you. A special thanks to Peter behind the bar and the young waitress who yet again excelled in their positions.
