Great place to visit. Loads of good walks, different abilities, so something for everyone. Scenery magical.

Thank you for your review of Castle Semple Centre. I would just like to point out for other visitors that boat and bike hire is seasonal and is now closed until spring 2015. The paths into Parkhill Wood and up to the Park Hill itself have been improved over the last year and I'm glad you were able to make good use of them. We hope to see you at the Park again soon.

Stopped here for a break and was amazed and how beautiful and tranquil the place is. Wonderful to look out onto the loch and watch the ducks and swans. Didn't venture to far due to the weather but will return on a sunny day to enjoy the many walks and activities that are available.

Thank you for your kind review of Castle Semple Centre. We appreciate you reminding other visitors not to feed dry breadcrumbs to the birds, it's much safer to use bird food as you suggest or simply use some loch water to wet the bread first! We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

This is a beautiful place. Whether its to see the wildlife, go out a walk, feeding the swans, ducks and sometimes geese, go out in a boat or to just sit and watch the world go by...or hire a bike. My partner & I came here allot when we first started seeing each other and still go 4years later. Great for all ages.

There is plenty of wildlife around this wee loch. There are hundreds of birds for the kids to feed at the loch side. You can hire boats and pedalos and there is a small cafe that serves soup and sandwiches etc. There is a decent size free car park and the town of lochwinnoch is a two minute walk away.Great walks nearby also, with ruined churches and countryside. Worth a day trip on a nice day.

Lovely place to visit. I go a lot with my dog for walks along the lochside. Always plenty to see and do if you want, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Visit the visitor centre for a snack or coffee and enjoy lovely views. There is also a small gift shop with plenty to choose from. Staff are all very pleasant and attentive, willing to help in any way they can.

Me and my Wife Josianne visited Scotland from 25th July to 1st Aug 2013.We were staying at Lochwinnoch.Apart from being an enchanting Village it offers a Park (Castle Semple)that I am sure one will cherish deep in his heart for ever.Apart from various activities (water sports /boat hire / bike hire etc) one can enjoy memorable walks (always in contact with nature). On our very first day we walked up through Parkhill Wood. It seemed as if wewere engulfed by nature. Apart from various trees (very tall and old ones) one can enjoy a variety of wild forest foliage. We walked up through the Park till we reached the Old Castle Semple Collegiate Church (founded1504).Back from the wood we enjoyed our walk by Castle Semple Lock. Before entering the village we stopped to feed birds in the wild (Mute Swans / Bonaparte's Gulls / crows / Pilgrims Geese /Black-backed Gulls and others). We really enjoyed our wonderful walks. We were very welcome by the local people they are very helpful. We Thank God for such an experience and we Thank the local peoplefor their 'love' and 'the Preserving' of nature without which we could never have lived so wonderfulan experience.Tony and Josianne

Went here with my two children. Lots of different things to do. We fed the ducks which they really enjoyed. There are boats and bicycles you can hire. Would recommend for all ages.

Good place to visit either by car, cycle or walk for a day out. Variety of things to do for example cycling, boat hiring or a coffee in the cafe.

Great place for coffee and cake at very reasonable price.Centre is clean and tidy and has lots ofinformation about local activities. Plenty to do for those who are willing to go out on the loch or who wish to walk along the paths which are quite flat! Well worth a visit.

We go there a lot with kids and dog walking and always enjoy it.Even just for stroll round it's beautiful and you an do as little and much as you want. Bike track runs round and also can lead towards Paisley or the other way to Ayrshire. My wee lad of 5 just likes doing circuit round and then to tearoom!Cafe is always busy no matter what time of day you go in but it's relaxing and offers good choice!
