My visit to Thrift Farm was a perfect choice for a 2yr old child, Beatrix loved all the small animal displays, and walk round the Farm. The Traditional Wood Farm Barn, with pedal Tractors, Animal experience, drawing and black boards excellent. The Cafe, the cakes displayed on a wood farm dresser, very helpful staff, and great selection. A selection of Jams and Chutneys you could purchase to take home, as a reminder of your day at the Farm. Spring flowering plants raised display boxes, an abundance of colour, and gift selection for Mothers Day. The overall friendly attitude of all the staff, is refreshing, and truly a delightful way to spend an afternoon. The enter acne fee of £4.00 an adult, and £2.00 for children over Two years, or family ticket for £10.00 super value. The Farm changes with the seasons, making visits through the year for there theme events a great choice for a traditional family day out.

I went here with my 5 year old daughter during half term and it was a great way to spend a few hours. Cost £4 for adults and £2 for kids plus 50p for some goat/sheep food so she could feed them. It was a £1 for her to sit and hold guinea pigs /rabbits which she liked. There was also a bear hunt going on and my she was delighted with her choice of free prize at the end which was a glow in the dark bangle. We didn't eat at the cafe as we took a picnic but it looked nice. Overall great way to spend a couple of hours. Although take boots as its a little muddy!

We visited on the 18th of February we our friend and there children it is great for the children as they can run off and enjoy themselves without the parents which makes it enjoyable for everyone could do with a slide and a set of swings.

We took our grandson here when he was younger - maybe 4 - and he loved it. Lots of farm animals to see and some to feed, but not too big a place, so great for a half day trip. As others have said, lovely little farmhouse café with great food. I used to take my class of 6-year-olds here and they always enjoyed it. So handy for Milton Keynes.

Just had a lovely afternoon at Thrift Farm. We enjoyed looking at and feeding the farm animals, hunting for bears, and then having a cream tea; freshly cooked scones, straight from the oven.

Great time with my Granddaughter who is almost two. She loved being up close to the animals and running from one enclosure to the next. There was plenty for her to see. Delicious cake and tea for the adults afterwards.

Great place to visit for a 1/2 day outing. The staff are very friendly, the layout is set up for children. It is ok to take a picnic or you can buy food on site. We went to Thrift Farm on 31st Oct so there were a lot of extra activities for the children which were very popular.

We really enjoyed the pumpkin trail that they had set up for children this Halloween. It gave a bit of focus to our wandering about. We spent about an hour looking at and feeding the animals and then had something to eat in the cafe. The food was simple but fresh and tasty. Our 3 year old had a great morning. We didn't really look round the garden centre but the plants seemed reasonably priced.

We found this place during a long journey and had a delicious tea. We liked the fact that the farm provides employment for people who might otherwise might not be helped into work. It was most encouraging

Was here a few years ago and really enjoyed it so decided to take a day trip up there with our two kids so they could feed the animals. Was pretty disappointed as it was mostly chickens everywhere bought feed bags but only 4 animals they were allowed to feed. There are things for kids to play on and we made the most of it so they definitely enjoyed it but turned out to be an hour and a half and not quite the day trip we had planned. Cost wise is reasonable for the experience.

First time we had visited after a friend told me about it. What a wonderful day we had with the children they loved feeding the animals and the animal handling was great and they got to hold the rabbits and guinea pigs which they really enjoyed and staff very friendly. Nice picnic area and great cafe with reasonably priced good food. Will definitely be returning again during the school holidays.

My partner and I were out for a drive when we came across Thrift Farm. We popped in to have a look at the garden centre but there was so much more! We had a lovely time walking round all the animals and feeding them. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. Such a lovely little find, with fresh eggs for sale. We will definitely be returning.

This is a fab place to take children. You can wonder round, feed the chickens and goats and even visit the garden centre and have lunch in the cafe or take a picnic. Can't fault it! :-) :-)

I visited the farm for the 1st time today with my children age 10 & 8.It cost us £8.00 to get in, we spent £2.50 on 5 bags of animal food and £2.00 for the children to meet the animals where they got to hold rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. There are lots of animals to see chickens, geese, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. There's a small out door play and picnic benches scattered around by a pretty little pond. The shop offers a small selection of fairly priced items, plus /home-made jams and fresh duck, goose and chicken eggs. The tea room is in the original farm house so small but VERY well priced. We had 3 "massive" jacket potato's with a salad, 3 cakes and drinks and the total bill was just over £21. The food was delicious. I was told that they will soon be building a larger tea room near the entrance to the farm which will make a trip to Thrift Farm even better. The garden centre had a vast array of seedlings, flowers and shrubs, again all very well priced. Plenty of free parking, clean toilets and sinks to wash your hands after touching/feeding the animals. The farm is a rural training centre for adults with learning difficulties so provides educational opportunities to the community. We found it a lovely place, extremely friendly staff and a fabulous way to spend 2-3 hours.
