hawks on walks

registered this as Battlefield Hawk Walks... thinking this may be the same thing... @ Battlefield 1403... please clarify!

My wife and I were visiting the UK from Canada and were bought this excursion as a gift. I have to say, it was truly a fantastic experience! Highly recommended to all! The guides are very knowledgeable with a clear passion for their work. Thanks guys!

I bought this experience as a Birthday treat for my husband and I went along for the walk. All credit to everyone especially Tony as this was brilliant and as a gift unique. Cannot recommend enough!

Was given the walk as a birthday pressie and wasn't sure what to expect. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the whole time we were there. Mark was knowledgeable and funny, the scenery beautiful and the birds amazing. Would recommend to anybody who likes a bit of fresh air and learning something new. We had given this experience to six people as birthday or Christmas gifts without experiencing it ourselves. My wife bought both of us a Walk with Hawks as a Birthday present and we at last found out how wonderful Mark makes it. We walked through the woods with him, three dogs and a Harris Hawk called Oscar for an hour. He talked about all sorts of things and his passion for what he does came through clearly. We shall be doing it again.

My mum brought me this walk for my 21st birthday present as something a little different and we both throughly enjoyed it! Mark was extremely knowledgable about the birds and the estate, the woods were a beautiful setting and the handling of the hawk was a great experience. Would remember to anyone of any age.

We were bought the Hawk Walk voucher as a birthday present. It didn't disappoint, as we didn't really know what to expect it absolutely exceeded our expectations.Mark and Val the hosts were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.It was great handling the "Harris hawk" on the walk, which was made fun by Mark.I can't believe the business is only 4 years old, as they have a fantastic collection of birds and Owls.Will be back in future. Top marks.

Took my 16 year old for his birthday, he loved it and so did IVery nice people, very informative, and having a hawk fly to your glove what a brilliant experience, would recommend to anyone 5 stars

What an amazing experience. Mark was so interesting to listen to. The bird called 'Bud' is quite a character and obviously loved it as much as us. Well worth a visit. Followed by coffee and home made cake in the farm shop. Perfect.

My visit to Hawks with walks yesterday was a fabulous experience. Mark who was the Falconer was very knowledgable about the Battlefield area and the birds. It was on a 1 to 1 basis which we went by Land rover into the near by woods, with one of the Harris hawks.Later Mark gave me a tour around the birds inside the aviary. I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest.Well worth it. would visit again

I was given a voucher for my hawk walk as a birthday gift. From the time I booked the walk on the phone untill the end of the walk I found all the staff to be very professional and knowledgeable. Mark is a really nice chap and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. We started by having a look around the center at all the birds, then we hopped in marks land rover to be taken to an area of woodland were the walk was to take place. On the way Mark answered all the questions I had about the estate and how it was run. The walk itself was great. We walked through the woodland as the hawk flew around us (very close sometimes) I was wearing a gauntlet that Mark placed meat into for the hawk to land on my hand. This was a great experience and something I will definitely do again.

I brought a hawk walk for my husband for his birthday. We both really enjoyed it. Staff we're fantastic, really interesting and knowledgable. I would highly reccomend a visit.

Our visit was booked as a special birthday present and was certainty a most memorable event. The walk was extremely well organised and everyone had a chance to experience the hawk flying on to their gloved arm and taking food before he swooped away again. All the members of staff are very knowledgeable and obviously love working with these amazing birds. The centre also has some spectacular owls to see. A good idea to wear your wellington boots and don't forget your camera. On the site is also an excellent restaurant and farm shop too.This made a very interesting, informative and fun day out which we cannot recommend highly enough.

not to be missed. really good experience. staff are very helpful and take time out to give you a great day out. all included for the price was the walk in the wood area with the hawk also a talk in the classroom. you can alsi view all the other birds and owls.

I was bought this activity as a gift. Having always been fascinated by the falconers art and birds of prey it was enlightening walking with and flying the beautiful Harris Hawk.
