Having visited Salvador Dali's house, we took a diversion to drive to enjoy the Cap de Creus National Park - it was a well worthwhile diversion. Being the beginning of march, there were few other people around which made the visit that much more enjoyable - the variety of plant life combined with the variation in terrain made it a memorable visit.

The natural beauty of Cap de Creus National Park is astounding and almost other-worldly. Having visited in the summer with a bunch of friends, our main goal was to enjoy the hot summer day swimming in the sheltered coves and lounging on the shale beaches playing truco. The many secluded beaches offeres great privacy for those looking to shed some clothing and hop into the water - a stark contrast from the crowded beaches of Barcelona. There are many coves to choose from, so just drive a bit through the park and find one that you like to spend the day...or even better...choose a few!I suggest hitting up a supermarket on the way. Stock up on bottled water and snacks for a midday picnic as there appears to be little opportunity for refreshments the closer you to the park aside from the visitor's center (never went inside, so that is an assumption). Plenty of parking near the visitor's center, but expect to park on the side of the road if you plan to do any exploring. The long, winding drive out to Cap de Creus offers amazing scenic views and ample opportunity to pull over to the side of the road to take pictures with your friends or family. Make sure to bring your camera and a tripod if you want to set up for a memorable picture, or just rely on the kindness of strangers looking to do the same!

I loved to visit this place in cause of the raw nature. The rocks are covered with small trees and other vegetation literally growing on nothing. It is very windy but at great place for a picnic.

The rocky coast - mainly barren and mainly consists of slate - is continually broken up by small bays. You will find stone figurine everywhere. Fauna and Flora of the area are unique in my opinion and you will find a variety of very rare species of sea-birds. Further there are many rare flowers. Lovely place!

Located towards the North end of the Costa Brava coast of Spain is this absolutely spectacular park. This park has everything, including jaw dropping views of the Mediterranean, stunning naturally eroded limestone buttresses, a labyrinth of well maintained hiking trails along the ocean, pristine and isolated beaches and all topped off with an iconic lighthouse. This is a large park and there is really only one main road that you can use if traveling by car to access many of the trails and beaches. The road is a wee bit difficult to find, as there are not many clear directions. We found the easiest way into the Park was to travel to Cadeques and drive northeast along the Av Salvador Dali. Av Salvador Dali winds its way along the coast through Port Lligat past the Dali Museum then makes a sharp left turn north towards the Cap de Creus Lighthouse. Once on this road there are side roads you can take to get into other areas of the Park along with turnouts where you can connect to hiking trails taking you out to the ocean.Travel to the lighthouse takes a bit of effort but it is well worth the time. Once at the lighthouse you will find a nice restaurant with a lovely patio overlooking the coastline. A visit to the Park is highly recommended and should not be missed if you are in the area.

Just beautiful views, nice hikes and with very strong winds. Worth doing the small detour. You won't regret it.

The area is well-managed and well-marked. Maps and facilities are available at the restaurant and info site at the tope of the hill. Many trails provide much hiking pleasure and there are many idyllic coves at the end of the wild rocky paths with beautiful protected beaches to enjoy. We enjoyed many peaceful midday swims here.

If you are in the area, visit Cap de Creus. There are a lot of walks in the area, but if you are after a relatively easy option with really amazing views, then - after going to the cap itself - head a short way back along the road to where a side road to Tudela and car park turns off. Walk along the tarmac road and enjoy seeing the amazing rock formations - camel, eagle, gorilla etc, plus make some time to make up your own mind about what amazing creatures the wind and sea have carved out of the rocks! I saw Bender from Futurama!

The views are one of the best you will ever see, plus the restaurant at the top it's perfect for having a glass of something with the views. 2030293019% recomended if you are in the area!

Very windy roads but accessible, lots of places to park so that you can explore the many paths in the park. Do need to be careful around the headlands as paths are rocky and can be slippery.

This is a National Park with great views and interesting walks and plants. There are a few tiny beaches where you can stop for a swim. You have to pay for parking but included in that is a small map and there is a tiny tourism office for information. There are no facilities so make sure you bring plenty of water

Our in-keeper described the landscape as "savage" -- couldn't agree more. They have paved paths, which is great considering the roughness of the terrain, although the purpose of the paths is to keep visitors from walking on the fragile growth in this dry, windy, desolate area.

There are two entances to the park; one to the left the other straight on. I chose the left one, paid to park, and had a pleasant walk to a small bay where one could swim.
