manhattan karaoke show bar

Used to go the 'Theo's' when Mickey and Dermot were running the bar there. they are now in the 'Manhattan' situated at the end of Playa Serena, at the roundabout. . I m not sure if I prefer it to 'Theo's' but as usual Mickey gave his all. I understand Dermot has not been well recently ,so I wish him all the best ( met his father on the Friday night I was there) I have not been back to Roquetas de Mar in four years until this October and lo and behold 'Victor' , the 'king of the karaoke' was still belting out the country songs. Its always a good night out, recommend it highly.

This is run by the people that used to run Theos. Welcoming, the best entertainment in Roquetas by far and it's free entry and big drinks measures!! Opens at 9:30pm and doesn't serve food - it's a bar, not a restaurant. Only place with cabaret in the resort and its on twice a week - sun and tues. Different shows from other years, not the same old stuff! So many laughs, comedy and performances! Nice bar, air conditioning, reasonable drinks prices and epic spirits measures :) was there for a week and was in every night apart from wed n thurs when they were getting well-deserved rest. Never a dull moment! (Don't go to the cabaret if you are easily offended or have young children) I ♥ it even after 14 years! Mikey, Dermot, Paco, Val, Pat and Aaron all made it FANTASTIC!

What a fabulous bar we had such fun. The hosts are extremely funny and talented( dj/ singing / performing) they even put on an impromptu show for us which was brilliantly funny and very professionally done. We really had a ball and would recommend anyone to go there whether gay or straight young or old it's brilliant for everyone!! Thanks for a wonderful time x

After first meeting Dermot and Micky 5 years ago for a friends wedding holiday we have continued to follow them over the years ftom their original location to the now fabulous Manhattans. The boys go out of their way to ensure all visitors are made welcome whether they are first time holiday makers or regular. Yes, it can be a little 'naughty' sometimes and definitely more aimed at adult humour but providing you enjoy karaoke and a good giggle this is a true gem in an otherwise relatively quiet resort.

Lancealot with the greatest of respect how can you review a bar if you have not been to said bar? Your review entitled "is this a joke?" posted on 23/06/2014 is at its best ignorant but at its worst discriminatory.. I personally visited Manhattan twice on a Sunday & Tuesday in the week commencing 19/06/2014 on both occasions I found the place to be top notch. The show was highly entertaining with Dermott and crew pulling out all of the stops to ensure both visits were amongst the highlights of our visit to Roquetas de Mar. Both shows were well planned and were not your typical 'last minute show' that is often typical of other venues of this type. The atmosphere at the venue was very friendly with staff ensuring we felt welcomed and very much part of the place. Equally the prices and alcoholic measures at the venue were very generous a lot better than other venues in the area. Myself and my party were all inclusive guests at the Protur Roquetas de Mar hotel just around the corner from Manhattan staying for 1 week. The Manhattan Karaoke Bar was a welcomed and fantastic change to the often boring entertainment provided by the Protur Roquetas. I would highly recommend this bar to anybody staying in this area as it is highly entertaining, warm and very reasonably priced, I would however advise that this is a bar in keeping with the comedy of 'Mrs Browns Boys' on the BBC and not for those who desire more constrained entertainment. Above all else disregard the ignorance of my fellow reviewers contribution entitled 'Is this a joke?' posted 23/06/2014 as at present it is nothing but discriminatory...

We have been going to the Manhattan show bar for the past couple of years .we find that Dermott ,Micky and the gangs inventiveness of what to include in their act allows returning visitors to enjoy the show as if it was the first time they had seen it.My husband cries with laughter every time and he's hard to please !Looking forward to visiting our parents on holiday again next year and enjoying a great night out at the Manhattan with them.

Manhatten cabaret bar fills all the gaps in Roquetas nightlife. They have two show nights a week. Karaoke the other nights except I think Wednesday & Thursday? Drinks are good value surprisingly. Dermott, Micky & val etc will make you very welcome & there is a good friendly atmosphere. Only take under 16's if they are broad minded & mature. My son who is a young 21 loves it here & is safe. Great fun atmosphere.

Enjoyed Tuesday's show and had a great night on Sunday. Wonderfully friendly folk that deserve the trade. A crowd of us welcomed the break from the Protur entertainment, including Mandy (from Africa??????). Hope they continue to be supported - they deserve it. Thanks chaps???

Dont go if bad language offends you. It is a great laugh, very tongue in cheek....but be prepared to take a bit of a slagging. It is a great night but dont go if take offence easily. Well worth a vist, entertaining, up beat and lively.

Hut ab, eine super Show,man war immer in das Programm eingebunden.Wir waren 15 Freunde vom Kulturverein in Roquetas und haben uns sehr gut unterhalten.Wir werden Stammgäste.Rudolf Schmitt
