bluetarp brewing

I never been to a brewery before but I bought a 2 person tour for here from Groupon. It included 2 free glasses and 2 free t-shirts. When I arrived they gave me the glasses and 5 tickets for each. You trade these tickets for tasting of the beers they are brewing at the time. The building reminds me a lot of a service garage. The front part of the building has a TV (with sports on), some wooden games (jenga, connect 3). The outside has picnic tables for people to gather. In the back of the building is the brewery. There are tours given at certain times and last about 40 minutes depending on questions. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I don't know that I would drive hours to visit but if your in the metro Atlanta area it is worth checking out. I live locally and come to this brewery on Saturdays probably once a month. You will pay $10 and you get a nice Blue Tarp pint glass to keep and 5 tickets which you exchange for tastings of their different beers. This place is great because their beer is very good and their pours are huge - you really get your money's worth. The venue is kind of a garage that has been made into a tap room with a large flat screen (they show sports). They also have a great patio with picnic tables and places to congregate. There is no AC so dress accordingly. Their beers range from IPAs to sours to an amazing stout (called Last Place). They also sell tee shirts etc. TIP: they often have coupons on Groupon where you can get 2 tickets and 2 shirts for $27 which is awesome. These guys are young and know their beers - they are not beer snobs. We always have a great time - also Three Taverns brewery has tastings right across the street before BT opens.
