My wife and I met Scott at the well known gas-station and drove then to the ranch where some of the horses are stabled. Scott is a wunderful person and chose Pisco for me (I am a very beginner) and Bella for my wife (she's got some saddle-time already). We started with a true man-horse-relationship introduction that impressed me very much. Scott's explenations and attitude towards his horses is one of a kind and it shows. We then mounted the horses in the corral and did some basic training using Scott's way which pleased us very much: You and the horse team up, be confindent, be balanced, try to understand what the horse is thinking and respect that in your actions. When then hit the trail for a more than 3 hour experience in the wilderness with quite some trott parts and felt closer to the horse and the surroundings every minute. It really was a exceptionell experience and it's going to be difficult to ever do a nose-to-tail ride after you've been with scott and his wonderfull horses. Thank you very much.

If you love horses, you will really appreciate the private trail rides at Equinature. Scott is the owner and guide, and his horses are in excellent condition and are very well taken care of. Our 3-hour trail ride with Scott was just wonderful. Don't be concerned when Scott asks you to meet him at a local Cornville gas station. You will simply follow his truck up to the ranch, since it is kind of hard location to find. Then Scott will introduce you to his fine horses by letting you warm-up in his outdoor ring. In our case, my boyfriend, who is a talented beginner, got to ride a cute buckskin QH mare named Pisco. She has a bomb-proof personality, and she is a very good choice for a novice. He did have difficulty keeping her from eating along the way, but they did great together. I got to ride Bella, a beautiful dark bay QH mare, who is very clever and pleasantly responsive. I hardly needed any aids; she moved-off my leg at the lightest touch, and turned with just my head turning to look where we should go. Scott rode bareback on his sweet QH gelding Luke. The three of us has a really fun time out in the desert. Scott is very easy-going and cares deeply for his horses. He was also kind enough to ride with our camera, so we have lots of great photos of us, thanks to Scott. My only regret is that we didn't schedule our ride earlier in the morning. If you go, make sure to arrange the earliest time you can manage. You and the horses will be a lot cooler. And don't forget to drink the water that Scott provides! We were so wrapped-up in the horses and the scenery that we forgot to drink anything. Have a wonderful time in Sedona, and make sure to give Equinature a try. You'll be back!

This is more than a great trail ride. I've used Equinature Tours several times on my visits to Sedona and it's the best. The horses are well trained and cared for and the tack in excellent condition. Every effort is made to make your ride safe and fit your ability. The guides are very experienced and you're an old friend even before the ride starts. They have a variety of trails and you feel like you're out in the old west. No crowds, just you, your friends, the guide and the best scenery on earth. I'm definitely going back the next time I'm in Sedona.

If you've ever wondered what the desert was like before all of the roads and hotels, this is the way to find out. Just got back from a week in Sedona highlighted by a beautiful Christmas day ride. The last thing we wanted was to sit in a long line of horses, nose to butt, on a boring walk. Equinature promised to take us on a secluded trail, with just the three of us, and absolutely delivered. The scenery was amazing. We crested a ridge and saw a beautiful valley and creek below, then rode down, crossed it and climbed up the other side. The trail was exciting, the horses are great, and these are some of the friendliest folks you'll ever meet. They took a lot of care to make sure we were happy and that we were comfortable on our horses. Don't miss this!

This was certainly the highlight of my trip, and one of the highlights in my lifetime. If you are in Sedona and enjoy horses, take time to do this because it is a true pleasure!!!! It lasted 1/2 a day and although I was sore, it was an awesome trip. I highly recommend it as one of the highlights of things to do in Sedona, Arizona!Scott, the trainer, is like the horse whisperer, patient and kind with both humans and the horses. His horses are awesome. I rode Sky. What a grand experience!!!
