The Cellar is, in fact, a cellar - an underground bar with lots of tv's for watching sports, pool tables, darts, gaming, shuffle board and a great jukebox ! A small menu of snack foods, including buttery popcorn and peanuts in the shell, hot soft pretzels and Italian Beef sandwiches with a home made au jus. But the BEST thing about The Cellar is their FAMOUS BLOODY MARY ! This thing is stacked with goodies and has so much flavor and just the right amount of spice to make your tongue tingle. Homemade in-house every day, the mix is a secret combination of ingredients, known only by the bar owner. The recipe is hidden under lock-and-key. The bartenders don't even know the recipe ! Served in an icy pint glass with a celery stalk or a pickle spear, a garnish of hand cut cheddar cheese, pepperoni and queen sized green olives and topped with a dusting of celery salt. Monthly specials include deals on cocktails, shots and beers. Although The Cellar is in a college town, it attracts a slightly older clientele, including a lot of locals.
