the cherry bowl

Our party (2 adults, 1 child) went to Cherry Bowl to bowl 2 games on a Sunday afternoon. It was a little busy but not too bad. Their were two younger gentlemen working the registers. I had a Groupon that had a value of $25 that I wanted to use. The one cashier didn't know how to apply the coupon at the register so after waiting 10 mins for other cashier to help him they would not let us use the coupon because the cashier was too busy and didn't have time to put the coupon in the cash register. So we left and went to Don Carters and had no problems using the coupon. Please DO NOT go here you are better off going to any other bowling alley in Rockford. Awful customer service.

Equipment needs updating as does the rest of the building. More expensive than most other places. The pro shop did look decent though.

This place has lots of different leagues going on all throughout the week and the leagues range in size from small to pretty big. It's got older equipment but the lanes are what really matter and the lanes here are well cared for.

This place was a great stop but looks like over the years time has taken away from it. There were several open lanes and I was told there was issues with those-waited for 30 minutes and a family of 10 arrived and were given lanes right away-even the ones marked "broken".

PROS: located right beside Cherryvale Mall; free and abundant parking; decent food (although the wait time can be very long- 20 minutes for a large pizza!); average to older condition of equipment, monitors, shoes; clean locker rooms and bathrooms. CONS: older equipment ; very long wait time for food (see above).

I don't like to bowl here or meet friends for the Friday night bands in the bar. There are much better places with better atmosphere

It is a very nice bowling alley. We have done here for years! They give you socks if you do not have any to wear while bowling which is very nice.
