firewood restaurant and sports bar

After reading some negative reviews I was reluctant to have dinner here. My family convinced me to give it a try. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Felt cozy even though room was big. Seated promptly. Drinks came fast but we had to look for our server to take our order. Husband and I had planked salmon, son had fettuccini with shrimp and daughter and steak. Visit salad bar - a little disappointing. Please take the gloppy chocolate pudding, etc off. Nothing labeled - not good for those of us with food allergies. Had to play it safe. Soup was so thick the ladle was supported by it - I took a pass. Dinner served promptly, almost too fast and daughter had to send back steak since it was still "mooing" and she had ordered it medium rare. You shouldn't have to do that when paying $30 for a steak! Our salmon was excellent! Salmon is a cheap fish and the chef worked magic with it. Loved it! Son loved his shrimp and pasta. Would go back again. If they could clean up their salad bar, reduce items on it (like gloppy puddings, etc.) and improve soup quality, this place would be a solid winner. Nice wine list with decent prices.
