Most people come to Nauvoo to see the Temple or the Mormon sites. This place has history that is actually much deeper and even a little different point of view. Its worth the stop if you have time

Nice museum in the State Park, the smallest state park in Illinois. great over view of Nauvoo's history. we were the only visitors there at the time and got a nice tour from the nice volunteer who greeted us at the door. a must if you are in Nauvoo.
