There are many things to do at Knight's Action Park. And plenty of things for every member of the family and every age group. Paddle boats, bumper boats, a wave pool, and a variety of water slides make up some of the activities at the park. They do have season passes, and you should be able to find coupons - on-line, as we did, which does help to keep the costs down.

This is great fun for our kids but we spent a small fortune just to spend a few hours before the kids completely melted down. The slides, pools and activities are fun and there is a variety for every age group. The down side is that there are shaded areas but once they are taken, you may have no option but to be in the sun, so bring plenty of sunscreen! The pavement is VERY hard on the feet so be prepared with flip flops or water shoes.

Knight's Action Park is a Springfield perennial favorite. A must go-to attraction at least once a summer for locals or for tourists seeking a water park experience. Although Springfield is a state Capitol, where isn't a whole lot to do here. So Knight's is a bright spot in a bleak attraction landscape. Lots to do there - water slides, awesome wave pool, mini golf, golf range, & go carts to name a few. Also a picnic area. I've never found the park too crowded; that's part of the allure and draw on a hot summer day. Everyone wants to be there !! Just make sure you bring plenty of cash. As at most water park attractions they nickel & dime you to death. Food is expensive and nothing fancy. Nevertheless, a great family attraction and worth a visit.

We went on a day that they were having a couple of companies that were having outings there. It really didn't seem overly crowded. My niece fell and scaped her elbow and knee and the staff was so nice and made her feel very comfortable. Warning : if you are like me and do not like the water slides do not listen to the staff when they say they are not fast. But the wave pool was fun and the kids area was nice also.

This park is always too crowded and too expensive. Not worth the money. The food is also entirely too much money.

We went on a Wednesday and was able to use their County Market receipt deal - buy 1 Splash Pass and get 1 free! It saved us a lot, plus we got to do the other attractions for practically nothing! Wave pool is awesome! Food is pretty expensive. The soda is NOT good! It takes like cleaners!! We loved the go carts, batting cages, rides and driving range. The miniature golf was the best! We spent the whole day and evening there and had a great time!! Loved getting the deal on getting in - otherwise it is pretty expensive!! Definitely check out their deals!!

We only went to eh "Action Park". This park is definitely in need of an update. Mini Golf was bad, with most of the courses looking well worn. Areas where water should be were either drained, or filled with brown water. At one point there where teens playing on the course (wearing staff shirts) and could be heard cursing while children were around. There is a smoking area outside the mini golf fence and smoke wafts into the course. The whole park is depressing and needs an overhaul.

I live in Springfield and take my son here a couple times a summer, mainly only on Mondays when moms are free. The price is astronomical- I think it's right around $30/person over a certain age/height. I wouldn't mind paying it if the place were worth it, but frankly, it just isn't. It's just run down. The bathrooms smell so much like mildew I can't even stand to walk by them, the water in the lazy river is filthy and the staff is sub par at best. We went for mini golf a few weeks ago and that course gets worse every time I go. The water around the castle was disgusting, it was brown. For as much as they charge for admission, it would be nice to see some attempt at upkeep.

...Manipulated. We could not find accurate prices on the website...primarily pertaining to military discounts as we were told they offered one. I made a phone call and was told on Thursday's military paid the children's admission price. It happened to be Thursday. As I tried to find the child's admission price online, I could not...so I called back...a second person told me the price and told me the military discount was the price of child's admission. Headed to the park. At the ticket window, they refused to honor the discount and told me the military discount was $3. I told the employee what personnel told us. She sent us to another area...would not give me name or direction to a supervisor stating we "have many". Went to other area...that employee would not give me name of "supervisor" but went to a back room to speak to someone...she came out and said they would "honor" it "this time", but not again. We went back to ticket counter...it was now after 3pm and swim park is only open until 6pm. After 3pm there is a $5 discount. As they were going to charge me for child's admission, I told them it was after 3pm, which I asked about on the phone, and that they could just give me the combined discount of $8...they said "NO, you lose your military discount after 3pm." THERE WERE NO SIGNS POSTED LISTING ANY OF THIS SO THEY COULD CHANGE AND MANIPULATE THE PRICES ANY WAY THEY WANTED. In a matter of 30 minutes, they changed the discounts 4-5 times. I still have no idea what the actual cost was going to be. ****Please realize this is the only water park between Chicago and St. Louis and they know it!****By time it was over, we had driven to the park based on what TWO different individuals told us about price (which happened to be the same story), dickered for a half an hour...then paid $47 to spend 2.5 hours at the water park. Yes, we could have walked away but it was 95 degrees and we were burning up. In addition---there is no swimming in the wave pool beyond 2.5ft of water...beyond 2.5 feet of water---EVERYONE has to have an inner tube. The deepest the water is 5ft...yet even with the waves not flowing...you have to have an inner tube. So...I had an inner tube and unknowingly stepped over the line of 2.5 feet of water...LIFEGUARD BLOWS WHISTLE REPEATEDLY AND SCREAMS..."GET IN YOUR TUBE!" No waves are going and water is calm and I am in less than 3ft of water...I said .."IN IT?" She said..."In it or on it!" So, I laid across it....seriously...I could not believe it. People who were too large to fit IN the inner tube...they are out of luck if they couldn't lay across it...they have to stay in 2.5 ft. of water the whole time. Not very enjoyable...lied to me about admission, gave me the runaround, refused to let me speak to a supervisor or even provide a name...and we were not loud or demanding or rude...Skip it if you can. Not enjoyable...

Head to the drive in to find out why these theaters were once so popular. Enjoy a double feature from the comfort of your car or bring your lawn chairs and sit outside. Cost of admittance for two shows is less than you'll pay at the indoor multiplex. If you've never been, you don't know what you're missing.

Larger then expected. Water park was the only area we went too. Decent size but not overwhelming. We were there for 5 hours and did everything at least twice. Three kiddie areas w 11 kiddie slides. ( pirate boat, submarine, sea lion cove) Lazy river with small waves. Wave pool, 8 big slides, paddle boats, bumper boats. Bathrooms need updating as well as bumper boats. Fun for kids, I went with two 5 year olds who had the time of their lives. There is an adult only pool on the other-side of the white kiddie slides. It's always empty. Prices are high in comparison to larger parks but it's the only one in the area. There are specials on the website such as Moms are free on Monday. Dads are free on Thursday. Other discounts on website. Some areas of the park seem old and outdated, some areas looked new. It seemed like they are trying to expand. 2 chief complaints, smelly bathrooms and lack of bottomed, kid inner tubes. People were hoarding them instead of returning them. Tubes were included in admission but they could be hard to fine.

Went there for a quck afternoon of go-karts. This place has a lot of high school kids running around doing various jobs. The go karts weren't busy but the few times the rowdy kids were on to bump whoever got in their way or even ram you on your way back to pits was not stopped by the kids working. We were there an hour or so and never saw anyone who might have resembled to be a manager on site. There were places that were a health hazard for people walking barefoot. The kids jumping station is designed for 12 and under but there were a few kids older taking time and space away from the younger kids. It's a little pricey as well. I've never tried the water park of it so maybe it will be better for the price. Guaranteed to spend at least $25 or more if you go as a couple and much more as a family.

I live 45 minutes away so this is the closest park of its kind to me and it never gets old. I personally love the drive inn that's next door but is considered part of knights better than anything else. it's something I've done since I was a child and will definitely continue doing

This place was poorly ran and a bit run down. Save your money and go to a movie or something. Not enough staff there to even run everything.

Most of the reviews are rather harsh sayings it's not worth the money. I would just like to point out that the price might be a little hefty but overall its the best place to go for some family fun in Springfield. You can't expect too much when there is nothing to do anyways. We decided to check it out and it was a nice safe enviroment for the whole family. My kids even found $5 at the bottom of the lazy river (helped cushion the blow of the price). Great rides and friendly staff who never seemed like the were eager to finish their shift.
