So we never got to try the food from the stationary food truck. It really sounded good, but can't comment on quality or price. This was lunchtime in mid-week in March, 2015.
Yes, it's a beautiful beach in an area that avoids the tourism trappings. Ditto the many positive comments of others... but what can I say that others have not already said? How about this:Convenience at your fingertips!• Need a sun-burn medication after staying on the beach too long? • Want to cool down with a two-liter cold soda that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?— National chain pharmacy discount retailer is across the street!
Very clean, great beach for family fun (i.e. sun bathing, swimming, surfing, walking, relaxing), plenty of parking with easy access to the beach.
We took our two teens here while visiting nearby as the kids wanted to see the ocean. This beach was perfect-- free parking, bathrooms, shower, a food truck (which was there all three times we went,) lots of seashells, no garbage at all. There was a lifeguard in a tower close to the parking lot but he honestly seemed more interested in his friends and his lunch than the water, so you'd be well advised to watch your own kids if they swim. There were quite a few surfers here, people of all ages but it was not overcrowded and felt safe. The sand was soft and beautiful- a real treat to us non-locals!
Had a long walk on the beach (on my own) and felt safe. It is possible to swim there and there are some life guards on duty.
huge beach with few people... dolphins may accompany you in the morning and surfers may be a spectacular view, when huge waves will prevent you from bathing in the sea
While I'm not a surfer, it looked like the ideal surfing location. Beach and park were clean. Would definitely go back.
Location is great, the area is always clean, restrooms there, picnic tables and a shaded area where you can just sit and look at the ocean, as well as steps leading to the beach, very enjoyable.
This beach park offers every amenity, it is perfect for family and small corporate events. It has restrooms, shaded picnic tables and pavilions you can rent with grills, a playground, sand volleyball areas and ample beach access. The property is well maintained by the city and has ample parking. Do be aware, however, that the beachfront here can be dangerous at times with rough surf, rocks and occasional shark sighting.
Great beach area. Facilities, shower, no rocks near shore. Food available. Can be very crowed on weekends. They even have a child play area and covered pavilions.
Nice beach for singles and families. The lifeguards are spaced just right and are friendly. They have shower/bathroom facilities which are maintained. Outdoor showers also available so you don't have a car full of sand. Location is great. Obviously, right on A1A, close to stores and restaurants. Its not the Cocoa Beach/Canaveral Pier with all the tourist traps. This is a local gem that beach-goers appreciate.
Worst beach. Hated it. Crowded, loud, dirty. Cocoa Beach is much nicer. Would never go back. If there were Zero stars that's What I would've rated it.
must go for tourists and locals. great playground. wish it had shade.good beach lifeguardonly complaint is that the shelters are always rented out so not as much shade available
High tide was coming pretty high but no rowdy crowds that you can find just 20 mins north. Will be coming back.
The water was clean and perfect. There were four lifeguards in sight at all times. It was not too crowded, but I would go early. The undertow was strong, but not terrible. There were bathrooms and a shaded area. I loved this beach.
